Do you by any chance know what's the current inheritance tax in Poland? Is it like 40% still?

No. I'm not sure but I think that It is between 3 and 9% - depends If and how close you were related with that person.

It seems way too little to me. It's not possible - I'm sure it's between 20-40%. I mean the case when a relative in Poland dies and hasn't left any last will so that everything has to go through formal ways. I mean large amounts.

OK, I think the rate for over 8,000+ USD is 20% - it was even higher in the past as far as I remember.

Between 3 and 20% - depends on how close people are related and on the value.

And also in most popular cases tax is suspended. I think effective rate is beetwen 2-5%
