my Mom is blue-eyed, pale skin blonde , Dad has blue eyes, black hair and preety dark skin. I'm brown haired, less dark skin than my Dad & blue eyed with a little asian look. My brother is simillar. I guess it's just hard to say who is 100% polish. Feel Polish, but I know that my familly mixed in the past with other nations. I guess as many other families. So Poles may be so different. As many ppl already said - it's just history / gene mixing.

There's a strong element of east Asians in the "typical" Pole - invasions in history and pre-history. Science tends to debunk racial myths.

Varsovian, I never realized that! I've heard from many people that I kind of look Asian (let alone, I have blonde hair as I said above) BUT I have heard that regardless. I guess it is my eyes. I guess you learn a new thing everyday.

Devils advocate here... Blonde with blue eyes is far north (probably Europe). People that easily tan or have a 'healthy' coloured skin and dark coloured hair, Middle Europe or towards Asia. Dark coloured skin and hair would be from anywhere further south!

This is a very broad speaking version, but if you think your something, your probably wrong, (e.g. Someone that thinks they are pure 100% English but, has black hair and brown eyes with white skin, is genetically wrong for what they are claiming).

I call myself a North European male and i mean this in the Geographical sense, not the political! So it covers a much wider spectrum. I have a little of the dark hair/skin/eye genetics but it only shows in my ermmm 'adult' hair, so I think its a minimal percentage?!?

Varsovian, I think I am backing you up on this point?

With an Asian mix of any kind, the strongest feature to continue through the blood line is the eye shape. It's very, very strong, and even noticable in blonde people with fair skin.

Poles are very racially mixed, as are all humans.
In pre-history humans trekked the world both with seasonal migrations and long-term, long-distance movements.
You've got to bear in mind that humans didn't make it the Americas by hopping on a plane from Addis Adaba to LA - they walked to the Bering Strait about 18,000 years ago after spending 150,000 years elsewhere.
100% Polish - what does that mean? Racially, it means your racial mix may or may not be similar to people in your geographical area (do you really know your family 20 generations back?) - but that still means you are racially mixed, doesn't it? Let's face, you're probably part Albanian,Armernian, Georgian, Turkic, East Asian, Arab, south Asian and Native American as well as north European acclimatised to relatively sunless living - hence your pale skin to maximise vitamin D absorption.
If you like blondes, just say so - but go easy on the racial stuff, it really has been debunked by advances in mitchondrial DNA testing.

Can you shut up please.

You don't even know what mitochondrial testing is. mtDNA refers to the gens passedonly on the maternal side.

To find out a group's genetis structure you have to look at genome wide autosomal SNP markers.

But why the hell am I telling you. You have no idea about this stuff. So here's some advice, learn something before saying anything on the topic.

I would have said generally not..it's more that they have dark hair and darker eyes, that ceratinly seems to be my family trait..but saying that I was born with very light blonde hair and blue eyes and when I was about 5, my eyes turned into a darker blue/grey colour and my hair went dark brown...I was gutted! Needless to say I have blonde highlights now and they look great! I also tan quite easily but I would have thought that was because I have Slavic blood in me....It's true that Polish people do have a certain look about them or is is because they don't look English?! When I had darker hair and a tan, I did get mistaken for being Italian quite a few times in Italy so I know I don't look English!!

My grandma is polish and allowed to live during WWII because she has blue eyes and blonde hair. Her brother, however had brown hair and the soviets took him during the night and shipped him to a gulag in Siberia and was never seen again by any of us.

Yes, mine was forced to work for some lady in the german countryside. She has all these stories like how the ladies husband was a rich handsome doctor and he cheated on his wife with every women in town.

My grandma escaped once and she had a german friend in town who helped her get an attorney. They went to court and the judge proved that my grandma was too young to be a slave (???) and let her go.

The lady also had all these metals that the Nazi government would give people of "aryan" descent who had babies. She had like 8 kids and had all these gold medals, which she would melt down and sell for money. She would treat her kids like crap though.

My grandma gets compensation from the German government now though.

I am 100% Polish, and I have brown hair and blue eyes. My dad is the same. My mom though has blond hair and blue eyes. I now have two children and my husband has brown hair and blue eyes, but both my children have blond hair and blue eyes.

not all Poles are Blue-eyed with blonde hair, but most of the women are incredible. And its because of the eyes everyone here has amazing eyes. I have a Polish baby (I am Polish-American) and she popped out with amazing eyes too, a little Asian looking in the corners. I grew up in New York where there are beautiful women from everywhere but never was I so astonished by such beautiful women as when I came here, I had to stay.
In the summer my eyes are Red and in the winter white my hair is the same.

Born with blond hair, but outgrew it as a kid. Now brown-haired (getting a few grays). Yes, I do have blue eyes.

What is this line of conversation?
Polish wife, brown hair and eyes, her sister, blue and blonde, yet so look alike.
So what is the point, to much down the path of Ayran race.
Should we care?
