America a Racist nation? My answer is YES

I have traveled and conducted business in the US of A numerous times and i have never experienced a nation to be so racist in my entire life!! I am only talking about the state of Florida in this particular report. Every fast food restaurant or convenience shop I visited I experienced a black or South American person behind the counter looking back at me with real contempt. On the other hand all business meetings were conducted with white people! a mistory nes pa? Tell me if im wrong please because i would love to hear it. Were always seeing on TV what a wonderful country the US of A is but in reality i think it is somewhat different.

I think the problem you have encountered was not racism, but the way people reacted on your Polish accent. You say you were in a store - you then had to say something, didn't you? Your accent is strange and it's normal people react at first in a little different way; later they get used to it.

So to me you may mix racism with psychological behavior here.

I'm Polish-American citizen (but my accent is bad and everyone I talk to knows I'm not American).

But you say you only visited Florida (the state of Hispanic population from Puerto Rico mostly), so it's not the best sample to judge the whole USA.. Visit Chicago or NY to experience a better sample range.

Check your wording and your facts mate, before posting. At least make some sense.l

Have you ever been to America? I can only talk for South American states swhich I have visited on numerous occasions and I was shocked to see the poverty of which so called USA citizens were confined to such as trailer parks and worse... In England we have council estates wherere by citizens with no money and by all accounts bum's who have no means to support themselves live. Trailer parks and places of poor equlity in the US are the lowest of the low these people have no health insurance or any kind of social benefit at all.n Thats why I ask you do you know what you are talikng about.

My father allways told me that America has the best and worst of everything and by God was he right.

So you had a bad experience, so have I many times in my travels, but really don’t think you can class a nation by one bad experience.

So our overseas cousins can get a bit knarky from time to time, but so can we Brits, Polish along with the rest of them.
My flat was once attacked by some Polish skinheads in Lublin, and my only crime, in their eyes, was marrying a Polish girl.

So my point is, I would never blame a nation for a group of mindless twats who are a minuscule part of Polish society.

Again, visiting the South-American states won't reveal the true American reality. By area these states cover most of the US territory, but there are much fewer people living there than in the other states and cities.

Your reaction about "citizens with no money" was my first reaction when I visited the US too. But then I realized these people who live like that CHOSE it by themselves. Give today an average South-state citizen $1000 and by tomorrow it will be gone for something useless (to say at least). Not to mention working ethics of these people is quite low too.

So you cannot compare this situation to the British or Polish country where the whole society is about the same as far as their education level and the will to work or to go to school. The US is much more diverse and it will take maybe a century before it's possible to adjust the whole society to the highest Western standards.

Im just stating that you cant go into a fast food joint or retail shop without finding a black or Mexican American serving you at the other end without a pissed off look on their face that there servng you and not the other way round.

I never had a bad experience i just noticed that ratial equality was rife in the United States and they claim that its not. I find that for USA to claim they are not a racist country to be one of the biggest scams ever. Thats it.

I know in Connecticut that alot of the stores you refer to are owned by the person behind the counter. Up the road from me (small store) are the sweetest couple from Afganastan. I remember just after Sept. 11th they were so quiet. I asked them what was the matter and they told me of the family there and concerns for their safety. Today they still run the store and will be the first to thank the USA for making life for their family better.

Being the first gen from Poland born on US soil I can't afford to own my own store. I don't think it matters what country we come from you must take the good with the bad. Wroclaw Boy, could it be you are the one with the issues. Maybe if you smiled and did not place people in "black" or "Mexican American" but let them be people.

All Poles now some one who does some thing or some one who has something.
