So where did you hear the USA claims to be a non-racist country (one of those BS news stations you typed about?) I have lived here my entire life and would be the first to admit there is racism in our country, as there is racism in most every country on the face of the earth (admittedly, I have only been to a few, but still saw it, nonetheless).

I find it fascinating, though, that you think that the Black and Mexican workers behind the fast food counters were "racist" against you because you are British; that makes them xenophobes, not racists, does it not? Now if they were rude to you because you are white, then you could claim reverse discrimination.

My suggestion: Take a chill pill.....you will always experience "weird" looks when you come across as being different (whether you are black, white, red or yellow, or you speak English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, etc...) and weird looks or behaviour don't always mean racism.....perhaps it's curiousity and your perception is skewed.

I'm not Polish, but I am from Florida. I am American, but is of Southeast Asian decent.

Past studies indicated that Florida has a lot of hate groups, but these hate groups are mostly composed of white supremacy or neo nazi groups. So, the statistics do no necessarily apply to your situation.

From my experience as a person of color in Florida, I have encountered little form of genuine contempt from sales people. I have, however, encountered many tired sales people trying to do their jobs. But this does not necessarily translate to a form of contempt.

Let me know that next time you are in Tampa. I would like to accompany you to the establishments that you've mentioned and observed first hand. This could just be a case of over-sensitivity due to cultural differences.

Let me get it right: Wroclaw Boy went to a fast food joint during his visit to US, where he has received some bad service. Now because everybody waiting on him in that restaurant were either Black or Hispanic, he assumed that there were racist against him, therefore he concluded that Whites in the US are raicist against Blacks and Hispanics working in that fast food joint, therefore Americans are racists.

PS. Wroclaw Boy - technically speaking Arby's Roast Beef and Cheddar is a sandwich and not a burger - mainly because it's made out of roast beef and not a hamburger patty. But that's beside the point.
