It doesn't matter what race he is....he cannot say one word is more offensive than the other for other people....maybe he's not offended by it, but as you said, some others would find great offense to being called a mestizo or mulata. It's all a matter of perspective, like I said.

so you really don't have a right to tell someone of another race what is more offensive

Never said I had a right to tell anyone anything. I said it was In My Humble Opinion( IMHO) that the word is less offensive.

What part of Chihuahua, if you don't mind my asking?

to be honest, adults are more open to people of Polish descent than kids are in school. If you plan on having kids this might be a problem - teasing, hopefully nothing more.

Artur, kids are cruel everywhere. They will always call each other names. It does not matter if the other kid is Polish, Mexican, fat, wearing glasses or having freckles and red hair - just to name a few "reasons". I attended a grade and a high school in Poland.
Oh, the names the kids could call each other! And, we were ALL THE SAME!
It's just a part of growing up.

I think everyone experiences teasing in school, no matter where you are from...it's just a part of the "school experience" and growing up. I've only heard a handful of polish jokes in my life, but then again...every country has a few jokes about them so it is quite harmless. I happen to think Poles are great and actually most people from my generation could care less which country someone is from...we are more open-minded than that...
