Hmm. My dad gets some, it comes in a brown beer bottle, has a white covering with a dancing woman on it. It's definitely Polish, almost coffee dark.

Can't remember what its called, but I love it

My goal would be to try to attatch on with INBEV, which distributes Anheuser Busch products in Europe, including Budweiser. Significant beer volume isn't about taste, it's about marketing. INBEV, AB, SAB, etc., will market massive volumes of beer. As far as my tastes go, I drink Bud, Bass, and most any bock and dopplebock beer.

Actually the chance an American beer could do well especially in the urban centers in up scale bars, hotles, restaurants and clubs, becasue it may carry a certain 'import kudos', especially if it is priced a little above the average. Just because it tastes awful has little to do with it. caviar tastes ******* horrible and thats sold for a mint.
Also look at Absolut vodka and or Jack daniels both of which sell in Poland, brand power is very powerful

"Import kudos" is exactly what I was trying clumsily to express.

Do you think that might have something to do with the Polish people living in UK?

Of course it has something to do with it but perhaps not as significant as you might think. Zywiec has been readily available in the UK for quite a few years. The many Polish clubs dotted around the country have stocked it so I'm sure that Poles would know where to get it if they yearned for some beer from the motherland.

Zywiec's introduction to British stores and pubs isn't purely aimed at Poles. In my area you don't see many Poles going to pubs. They're here to save money not drink it away.

I visited a bar last week in Gydnia which looked very stylish like any European "style" bar, and they we sponsored by Peroni (not a bad tipple). So If a US brand wanted to make an impact the should open a bar stocking only their beers, with all the promotional gimmickry that runs behind it. Far smarter idea than merely trying to put US beers into clubs. If you wanna sponsor a bar I'll help. I know shed loads about he industry.

The "big" US beer brands like Miller, Bud, etc are a waste of time. Poor quality beer.

LOL these are mass produced watered down bottles of ****. Of couse they're bad. Try the following and then let me know that you think:
Dogfish Head 90 minute IPA (9%)- 120Min IPA (21%)
Great Lakes Barrel Aged Blackout Stout...9% I think
The Duck-Rabbit Baltic porter
Double Bastard ale
Kuhnhenn a Few Shillings too many Ale
Any Otter Creek beer

The list goes on. You're prob very young and under exposed. Treat your pallate to that many fine beers we have

kids......

If the rest of you come to the US, don't try the following...they make us look bad.

Budweiser...tastes like pee, but sells more than any other.
Coors
Miller
Pabst
Michelob
Lowenbrau (in the 70-80's it was ok)

Of course some American will disagree, but I've been lucky enough to have a taste for beer with well, taste

Dogfish Head 90 minute IPA (9%)- 120Min IPA (21%) All the way!! the 90 min is the easiest 9% beer to drink. It comes in 4 packs and can be hard to get. Check the website. By far my favorite beer ever. So far I've tried 5 of their many brews and they're all surprisingly good.

The problem is that it can be hard to find, especially in Cork I'lkl have to see what we export. If we were able to ship, I'd happily send you a 4 pack. Give me a few and I may be able to recommend some.

I lied because Guiness is and will always be my favorite.

They claim its the best beer in America

Maybe closer to okocim but its a little bitter I think

alot of people drink it

Theres some micro brew bars here that make their own beers on the premises.

Blue Moon is gettin popular here...but the put oranges in it??
