Some people will say that Americans have little or no culture. I beg to differ. Some examples of American culture:

Texas BBQ
Stock Car Racing
Baseball
American Football
Fourth of July
Pioneer Spirit
The difficult can be done immediatly; the impossible will take a longer. America's can do spirit.
Cinema
Fast Food...which is world wide, but strangley enough no one eats it.
The Blues
Rock n Roll
Jazz

Expound, dispute, etc.

How about our generosity? There was a report recently by _The Christian Science Monitor_, that America is the most generous country in the world.

Yes we are, unfortunately almost to a fault. We give billions to countries that I feel do not deserve our help!

I always figured if the next Pres. were to make a 10% across the board cut in all "give aways" that would solve many of the problems and yet leave NO ONE to complain that he's playing favorites.

I can agree somewhat to this. I think the govt thinks of it more as a investment
because now were outsourcing to alot of different countries.. and I can agree
that we need to take care of home first.. this goes for our own families, why
shouldnt it apply to our countries as well.. if we didnt have so much going on at home
it wouldnt even be a problem to help others. but I think because progress is so slow
in certain areas it has caused some bitterness, but it shouldnt be at the other countries
because first we must go to the source and ask these questions.. and not let
him beat around the bush!!!

It's not MY choice, but is part of American culture :)

When I was a child Big Foot was popular. Unfortunately men (southern) still enjoy these things.

I hate to burst your bubble because you're so kind to my chihuahua, but sadly chihuahuas are from Mexico....:(
But the US has the Black and Tan Coonhounds
American Bulldogs
Alaskan Malamutes
American Foxhounds
American Water Spaniels

I know they're from Mexico. Lately they've also become a very popular dog to own. They are now very much of a part of American culture.

Yeah its the "fad" of carrying the toy dog around like a handbag :) I see this all too often in NYC. I'm not sure if its a worldwide thing though. Who knows.

California Girls/Beach party and surfer culture
Militant Militia and Apocalypse Commune culture

The dog in the handbag thing is everywhere here now. Even boring little old Pittsburgh has their "divas and dogs" crews roaming malls, libraries and restaurants. I saw one at the pediatrician's office the other day! I HATE this "fad". Even worse, I hate the managers of these places that don't tell these women to get the heck out.

Yes! The best turkey I've ever had.

(for the people who never tried it, please do not picture in your mind breaded, fried chicken) :)
