In addtion to our superior military might, our American sports are also ahead of any European nation including Poland.

Haha, we kick your ass at football (real football, i mean soccer), rugby, handball, volleyball, etc.
The US is almost the only country to play US football, why should it be a surprise that you have a better team and championship ;)

Btw, European army is very good too...

Taxmandan, as an American I'm appalled by your blatant homerism concerning American football. This is an international forum and we must respect that our little pigskin game is in the eyes of the world a tiny entity. As a worldly American I would never impress the opinion that American sports are better than any other countries...
...That being said, baseball is the greatest game ever and makes soccer look like Candy Land.

Yeah, I would enjoy watching the girls play Rounders when I was younger.

It should be noted that baseball has its origins in Poland, when the first Poles came to the New World, they brought along a game called palant which is the first bat and ball game to reach the shores of America, even before rounders or crickett, and is the direct ancestor of American Baseball. As far as this thread, it's obvious that an American is going to prefer American sports to world sports. I, myself, prefer baseball, football, basketball, and hockey to soccer. But that isn't to say that I don't understand I'm in the world minority. We play baseball, the world plays soccer. I do enjoy soccer, although I don't know it as well as other sports. I've had many long conversations with a Polish friend of mine (and a die-hard Legia Warszawa fan) about why Americans don't like soccer, but that is a subject for a different post...

Baseball is great if you are playing, but no fun to watch [for me]

Ice hockey... great game.

played american football once. I still have no idea how the other team [americans] got the touchdown. It can be a fast game and tough.

Football/ soccer is the game.

amrican football as well as baseball are pretty boring overall.. in person baseball is not so bad at all but football is made for TV.. it's pretty mucha a waste to go to the game. and neither of these sports are even close to being superior.. btw. cuba, dominican republic and a host of other countries can clean up the americans on the daimond. hahahaha

the american indians had some kind of a stick game that might have had some influence on batball. :)

In the Uk we only play football...not soccer...which i believe is an American copycat game.

For the last 140 years, every club has the letters F.C. after their name, which happens to stands for..... Football Club...

You had better take that up with the FA who mention the word soccer [many times] on their website. I've just checked.

I was being sarcastic, Taxmandan. I'm not from Los Angeles, I just live here now. I think it's great that you like Football over Soccer. So do I. My point is, that has to do with the fact that we're Americans. I'm not going to knock soccer. It's a beautiful, wonderful, difficult, skillful game. I don't like it as much as baseball. That's just me. My problem is when people say, "This game is worse than this game." How do you know which game is worse? How do you know if a game is better? You simply like one over the other. Baseball or basketball or whatever is no better than soccer or hockey or anything else, I just like them more. This is directed at you taxmandan, in particular, just at those you say "Oh, baseball is boring," or "American football is stupid," or "soccer is dumb." Who are you to say? You just don't like one or the other. Sorry, I'm taking sports to seriously...I do that from time to time.

All American sports are fine but commercials electively ruin watching them on American television. I have seen just one NFL game live and it was total disapointment watching players gathering together and waiting for commercial to be over so they could continue play. Pathetic! The same time 70 000 crowd is bombarded by local commercials coming from speakers on stadium. Pure joke for me! Raiders fans are best though in the world.

How can a copycat sport qualify for the world cup? If it wasn't considered the same sport, then I doubt they would qulaify to participate.

Baseball has to be the most boring sport in the world.

IMO college football is more entertaining to watch because they actually play for the love of the sport unlike NFL where it's just $$. Baseball has turned towards drugs for enhancement.....also bogus.

I wasn't disputing that. I call it both, so what does it matter? We play same rules and the same ball.

What does that have to do with Football vs Soccer?

perhaps you say Chiner instead of China :\
