I'm studying Polish in Belgrade. I'm finishing first year. We're going to visit your country, so I would like to learn more from you. And, maybe we'll see there:) My English isn't so good, so don't be mad if I don't write something correctly...

Hi Anna 88

You will find Poland a great country and although I am English I just love the natural beauty of Poland and long may this continue. I speak a little Polish but in England I do not get the opportunity to practice my Polish.

Hi Anna welcome to the forums, hope you find what you want here :) How is it in Belgrade at the moment??

hhhmm the 88 in your name, i'm not accusing you of being a nazi however its not a good number to have on the Polish forums, there is a known 'Neo Nazi' group in poland called the 88's. They have 88 written on their shirts as it represents the 8th letter of the alphabet, which of course is 'H' so therefore they use it to signify, 'Hile Hitler'

Nice to see somebody who isn't either a yank, Brit or Polak on the forum too, ow yeah and i forgot those ruski's too :)

Hi Anna, your english is better than most of the english people's is on here :) welcome to pf.
Ignore no immigration (he's a horrible little man)and to a small extent tornado(though he's a good guy really) I see that nobody has told anyone off for having 18 in their profile name,a far worse set of code letters if your going to be paranoid.

Welcome Anna, I think you just put your birth year with your name and some people immediately started to look for "a meaning". Hehehe.
Have fun.

Hi, people! I want to answer why it's 88 in my name - it's the year of my birth. I didn't know for that nazi in Poland, but it's always good to learn something new. For Belgrade everybody says that it is a jungle, and that's true. But I like my country, I'm not complaining about it. I saw some pictures of Krakow, and they are beautiful. I can't wait to see Poland:) I'm so excited!!!
