That's about the most interesting thing about it.

It's got some interesting logistics depots for distribution businesses, as it's at the future crossroads of the N-S and E-W motorways.

It's a place you go past without stopping, unless you are a trucker that is.

My family and I stopped at a rest stop on the highway outside of Piotrków Trybunalski. Lots of smashed up cars on the backs of trucks going down that road (presumably going to auto body repair shops). I tried out our new video camera there and noted on one of the info boards at the rest stop that there was some kind of massacre there during WWII. They also had a nice play ground for the kiddies there.

Actually, I have driven through the town a few times and even went to a flat of a girl I knew a long time ago. I was there last year as I drove from Czestochowa to Radom-it lies on the route. Nice girls on the streets but it has always had a reputation for being a poor working town. I know little of its history but it is not a place you would want to stay in for long, even Radom is nicer and there is nothing really special about Radom either.

Maybe you drove through another village as Piotrkow Trybunalski could never be described as a village.

From what I can remember, it was the ugliest place on earth! I certainly never saw anywhere so bad in Australia (I think that I am right in saying that is where you are based) though I only had time to see Sydney and a few other areas.

it was very rural out there for a suburban person like myself. was not the ugliest place i have been to, some places in australia that dont have a great a socio economic climate are ugly.

I've been there a few times visiting relatives, its not the nicest place to visit, lots of crime and you hear that a lot of murders take place in that neck of the woods

I think that there are quite a lot of murders all over Poland. I have been shown several times where a house especially in the countryside, has been broken into and the occupants have been murdered. It happened once near Bochnia (near Krakow) and another time near Deblin (near Warsaw) but there must be many more.
