I'm not there yet. my boyfriend is Polish and we'd like to move there, but I dont speak Polish or anything. So I'm just wondering if I would get any job, I'm 20 so I havent done Uni yet.

without polish language you can't mannage anything there

its gona be rly hard to find job for U im afraid

gonna be tricky then - you probably wouldnt get a job teaching at a language school and i really doubt youd get anything else.

save up some cash, have fun spending the summer there, see how it goes and then make a more permanent move once you have done uni... itll be easier to find employment... not that im your dad and should tell you what to do or anything ;-)

hehe... I was thinkin about taking Tefl english stuff, to become an english teacher...But still I gotta learn Polish...Which I think is a pretty difficult language...
All the Poles keep saying there is no money and it's very hard to life there...

tefl is definately a way forward but most schools in gdansk are going to want a degree in addition to a cert... maybe callan will be more flexible. ive got some property over there and just go over to supervise things and enjoy what the tri city has to offer ;-)

yup! it is but dont let it put you off and if you have the bf get him to help you ...

yeah...I just fell in love with this country and I know he really wants to go there cuz his family lives there, and it's his home :) It's just really sad how the situation is there :/

they have their own methodology and dont require a tefl certificate - many of them are keen to have native teachers, especially in smaller cities etc
