Apartment Prices in Poland (first quarter 2007)

I took time to translate a report about real estate (apartments) prices in selected Polish cities. Maybe some of the readers and those who think about buying a property in Poland will find it useful.

If I sold my 100 square meter apartment in Chicago area now (the market value is 180K), I wouldn't be able to afford a similar apartment in an average city (by US or EU standards) like Wroclaw. I'd have to pay 45+K more.

I stay in the US for now; only 6 years to pay off the mortgage :).

you live in chicago?

apartments in Poland in cities such as Krakow, Warsaw and Gdansk are still cheaper than ones in the US

if you sold in Chicago you would have approx $540,000 zloty

that is a lot of $$$ in Poland you can buy nice apartment for $300,000 zloty and still have $140,000 zloty or $46,000 USD left over

5400 zl per sqm is at the bottom end of average in 3M... I was quoted 16800 zl sqm for Sopot this week... thats a pretty big difference... whats the current rate in Manhatten...?

Am thinking of investing in property in Lodz has anyone got any advice on where to go or how much to expect to pay am looking for either 1 or 2 bed appt
