Is Polish girls' beauty a myth?

It's out of question that, like in many Eastern European countries, there are many pretty girls in Poland. But, I I would like to offer an alternative to the other thread about "Polish girls the most beautiful in the world?".

I'd agree that the average is high, bu that is because MOST girls in Poland are average looking.

Now, the reason for it is that it level out more than in other countries. Say in the CZ Republic when a girl is hot she is really hot, often a stunner, and when she hasn't been blessed by genes, well .. she's a total dog (and I like animals)

In Poland the looks of most girls are in the middle. This becomes deceptive of course, and make some needy foreign guys spread the word that all Polish girls are hot, when in fact all (most) are average, and the average slightly above the average of other countries.

Last but not least, there is DECEPTION PROPER. Some Polish girls may appear to be pretty in certain situations:

1) under a good light, or in a dim place such as discos, bars, candlelight. Definitely more than other nationalities.

2) under the influence of cheap Polish beer. When the vision blurs, suddenly an avg. Polish girl appears hot.

3) from far away. Because the avg. girl is slim, and may dress up tarty, she will look hot from afar, but the good looks explode in your face from close up. Shocking experience

4) make up. I saw some friends of my ex, nasty looking girls, going up a couple of points on the good looks scale, from say 3 or 4s to above 6s. Incredible what the make up can do.

5) most Polish girls always have a major defect, often located on the face. Among the most common are a mould, dodgy chins, bad teeth, sticking out ears, etc. This is often well covered up.

6) more approcheable, friendly or "easy" factor? This does in guys influence the perception of how good they look.

7) combinations of the above. E.g. beers with dim lights etc.

In the list above I have had to be a bit harsh (sorry girls) but for a good cause which is to debunk this myth, and be honest about it.

Apart from the hate mail I expect from this post hehehe ... , it would be good to hear some comments about my points above :)

A little harsh perhaps...but you do raise some points. I definitely do not believe they are the most beautiful in the world, especially after hearing travellers' stories of girls in Russia, Latvia, and some South American countries perhaps.

The word 'beautiful' is a word I'd use to describe a girl with natural good looks, e.g. large exotic eyes, a well-structured face, a naturally curvaceous body, etc. The word 'pretty' is definitely more fitting to Polish girls in general.

The 'explode in your face' syndrome - a bit of a hardcore description but yes, I'm familiar with that. On an episode of the sitcom Seinfeld I believe the term 'a two-face' was used. I've also come across the word 'scud'.

And, yep, meeting club girls in the daytime is a disappointment more often that not.

It also depends on the day. Today in Krakow, I've seen a few hot girls, but on other days they seem to be in hibernation.

Sometimes it can be fun to say a few words about things like this, usually in a less serious way. But I don't think it's healthy to analyze these things so much. I actually find it a little odd that people discuss things like these in thread after thread after thread. People must have other interests too, right?

I'm not judging anyone, but I find it a little strange.

My advice to you is:

Take a few of your friends, go to a nice night club and share a bottle of vodka. Then find yourself a hot girl to go home with. Do it, instead of thinking of it. It's not difficult in any country, that's for sure. There is no point, my friend, to sit home and analyze girls. And I am almost 100 % sure that you agree.

By the way, I will take a motorcycle trip to Krakow 17th-20th of September, maybe I'll see you in the clubs then. By then you will probably have an answer to your own question.

I'm trying to debunk a myth here. Something I'm sick and tired of hearing about from Polish girls and some mates alike: that Polish girls are the most beautiful in the world bla bla rubbish. Plus from the other thread in the blog.

I seriously doubt that you mean what you say. I've known some very good players in my time..much better than me at this game (and I'm pretty damn sure on a higher level than you), yet I haven't known anyone who gets regular guaranteed one night stands with hot girls with the kind of ease you are talking about, even in Poland. If your definition of a hot girl is the same as mine, that would make you a professional in this field. But if I was a betting man, I'd bet money that a hot girl is not going to end up getting sh@gged on your motorcycle at the end of September.

This is important.The girls look hotter from distance,that is true.However what explodes is the expectations of personality and arrogance one waits from such a beauty.I mean they do not keep their facial characteristics stiff and under control when they talk but they take expressions unlike the western girls,that is why they seem to ''explode.''

No.I noticed the difference when I came from Berlin to Poznan instantly,they were two diffenent worlds,nothing to do with approachability.Just observe how girls look in Berlin Hauptbahnof and how they look in Poznan glowny.It is really impressive difference given how close the places are.

In general slavic girls look superior,everyone knows that.Go to a resort with slavic girls and then to one with western girls and you will notice the difference.When you see beautiful girls in western countries,they usually come from slavic nations.

However polish,czech,slovak and serbian girls are the hottest ones and better looking than russian girls on average.

I think that many polish girls dress extremely smart, and the majority have lovely figures. They always seem to take the time to present themselves well and look after themselves.

I am not sure about being beautiful, many do not have the natural facial features, otherwise they would be snapped up by well-known model agencies straight away. Yes before anyone says beauty is made up of many things and not just natural good looks, I agree and that develops with time, however, for someone to be stunning it is the impression one gets from an immediate glance. I don't think they are naturally stunning.

I also think that girls in England are far too overweight, far too overweight to look extremely attractive, and therefore they wear clothes to compensate for this, which appear ridiculous, if of course they wear any. Coupled with that the drink culture in the uk is out of control. It appears to be a total reverse situation ,where it was the men who drank everyone under the table it is the men who dance around the handbags and the women who swear and drink pints at the bar, is it any wonder that when they go off on a trip abroad to somewhere like Poland they are in heaven, because many of the younger generation have not seen this time of class in their lives. They see women behaving as women and they go into total shock.

I have to share a little story, sorry for the long post. On a flight back from Krakow I overheard one stag-nighter saying to his friend, he had obviously got the girls name and mobile number. "It took me a whole day to try and pronounce her surname", understandable.

What I like in Polish girls, is that they know what's going on in the world and that they can be a bit alternative as well. E.g. some like punk and indie music.

All-in-all I have the idea that Polish women are less the cliché "thick make-up doll gold-digger girls" who like to go to 50 Ct.'s candy shop.

However, you reap what you sow. If you are a complaining prick, you probably attract girls with the same mentality. :-)

Women is Europe are divided into western women,slavic women and mediteranean women.There are admirers of everyone of these categories.However most people fall for slavic girls.

In a recent incident a greek girl asked the DJ in the disco to play oriental songs in order to have the chance to belly dance.I was surprised because doing this she interrupted the country dance of some hot czech girls.I met her the next day and she told me she did this to show the Czechs what nationality has real asses and an opportunity to shake them.

I seldome go out to a club just to get laid. But I think all of us have ended up in someone else's bed several times after being to a night club. And honestly speaking, I can't say it was very difficult, and I mean pretty high rated girls. But I'm not saying that one can walk around and just point at the girls they want in bed. Very true. That point I have made in several posts. They are not naturally stunning. They have rather plain-pretty looks. Slim, yes, but not too curvy, on average prettier than most other places. But I haven't come across any with the same stunning or expressive looks of certain Hollywood actresses or with the drop-dead gorgeous looks of top models/actresses from other countries.

The average counts.Polish girls look on average prettier.This measn that there is a higher proportion of stunners as well and less ugly girls.And most of all there are very very few freaks in Poland.

Well, you make it out to be easier than it is. And you are saying that because you probably don't get it that much, whether you say you are looking for it or not. It's very convenient for you to say you don't go out to get laid.

What you are describing may have been the case in Poland 8 years ago, or in mediterranean summer beach resorts full of drunken English girls now...but then again you are talking about hot women....and I have not met anyone who can get laid that easily with hot girls the same night/day, no matter how much charm he may have, and I've known some very successful guys. It takes more than charm...you have to get past a woman's defenses and deal with other eventualities (friends, etc.), which can be tricky business. Plus you have to find a girl who is receptive to one-night-stands.

But anyway, you are talking about hot girls and as far as Poland is concerned, I rarely see a foreigner with a hot Polish girl (what I would call 'hot' - probably I've been spoilt). Almost never. That depends on how you define hot. I've been living in Poland for 8 years. I wouldn't describe the average Polish girl I see as 'hot'. I might label her 'not bad', 'shaggable', 'all right', etc. Probably if I was living in Greece, England or wherever, I'd call her 'hot'. This may just be a question of calibration of scales. Anyway, In Poland the best (and worst) looking girls are with Polish guys. That's a fact, ask any foreigner in Poland.

Not in every city.In Krakow,Wroclaw,Katowice this is true.Basically polish guys cockblock foreigners(and they do good if you ask my opinion).
