Merged: Same day passport renewal in London?

Hi guys, I'm desperately trying to find out if my polish girlfriend can renew her expired Polish passport at the embassy in London the same day? We've managed to find out costs and requirements if you apply in person but it doesn't actually say if it is instant or a few week? If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

If it can be done same day I will go down with her tomorrow first thing

expired Polish passport at the embassy in London the same day

I don't think so, but why not just phone them and ask? Or is it one of those phones that rings and rings?

Same day passports, wow, i thought that was saved for people in the military, diplomats etc etc, not your run of the mill Polish citizen (no offence intended there). Same day passports are issued very rarely, it usually takes about 2 weeks and that is the fast service :)

yeah its tough to get through to them. The next opportunity to ring them now will be opening hours tomorrow 13:00 - 16:00 which is when I would need to be there if it's possible of course.

so no-one knows for definite if it is possible or not? I can't post a link to the site because the spam blocker stops it. There's no info (that I can see) referring to time scales. I know it's wishfull thinking but I cant see why anyone would apply in person otherwise?

In Polish:
londynkg.polemb.net/index.php?document=39

it can be translated into English through Google

Most things beaurocratic and to do with Poland... require that one attends in person.

I doubt that she will be able to get it in a day. Sorry. The speed up process in other countries costs extra money but even then it takes a week for non-Polish Consulates.

It's safe to say that she won't get it in a day.

you may say a month to get somebody to answer the phone.

If it is so urgent for it to be replaced, why didn't she renew it before it expired? Sorry to be blunt, but someone living in another country should never let their passport expire.

Unfortunately, as recent improved ... it is best to agree on a meeting because of the cheats sorry do not mean you. but it was a British television channel BBC1 redeem the woman at the time of the rape each EU passports.
