I'm Going to start a Revolution In Poland

fed up   Oct 14, 06, 07:55 /  #
first order of business.....when using an escalator(schody) or moving walkway, walkers use the left side, and standers use the right side. I've been all over the world and this phenomena only occurs in Poland. I don't see what the difficulty is with doing this.

Secondly...write 1000PLN fines to owners of barking dogs that bark for more than 2 minutes, while owner is shopping in Berti, Lidl or any other sklep.

Add what you want.....

fed up,

You are quite right about escalators. And even when you ask, people won't move out of the way.

Good point Kowalski.........its the same in Ireland - a healthy/unhealthy disregard for all things governmental/rules etc! A throw back to British rule and an even tighter grasp of the populace by the catholic church.............................after thought.........who are the catholic church?????...and where are they now......in Ireland that is......

Good sometimes...but not others....ie both countries kill more on the roads than they should!!

The escalators are there so you don't have to walk up the stairs. What's the friggin rush anyway? It'll only take 2 more minures to stand and wait
....but not moving when asked is quite rude.

You are so wrong fed up. You want to strart revolution without knowing that revolution has already occured. After isolation by communism 17 years is not enough to "import" all the cultural details, as standing and walking on a correnct side of escalator. How people who've never been to western countries for longer than 2 weeks should know that it is convienient if standers and walkers stand on opposit sides. And we do need revolution for those cultural changes... Just wait a couple years as some of the Polish ppl from UK and other countries come back.

And another aspect... Escalators are very new thing in Poland. I bet 15 years ago you would not find ANY escalator in Poland, maybe excluding Warsaw.

Fortunately I live near Warsaw, where most escalators either don't work or are as turned off as the general driver's brain in this country.
