It is my first time creaing a topic and i would like to ask something i never seem to get right

When should write chciał bym and when bym chciał?

1)Should these two words be writen together or separetely?

2)And which one should go first and which second?

the proper form is "chcialbym" this two worlds togever. worlds wit end like "byś", bym" "by" with other worlds we write togever for example

miałbym miał - mieć - to have

chciałby - he/she would like to.

my english is to week to translate it more proper...

Miałbym. Chciałbym. Zjadłbym...

These longer words are used at the beginning of a sentence. And when other words are after these.
For example.

Miałbym samochód. ( I would have a car )
Chciałbym wyjść z tobą. ( I would like to go out with you )
Zjadłbym coś. ( I would eat something )

At the end of a sentence we use "bym miał", "bym chciał", "bym zjadł".

Samochód bym miał. ( I would have a car )
Z tobą wyjść bym chciał.( I would like to go out with you )
Coś bym zjadł. ( I would eat something )

But the longer forms sound better I quess. Because Poles don't say like that: Samochód bym miał or Z tobą wyjść bym chciał. It sounds weird ( maybe in poems or lyrics ).

I hope you understand. I don't know English well ( sorry ), I'm learning

Hi, I think that in informal Polish it's used a bit differently than what's suggested above.. If use chciałbym etc with bym at the end it simply sounds like proper Polish. But many young people would change say it the other way round, starting a sentence with 'bym/byś' etc.
e.g. - Poszedłbym tam. (I'd go there.)
- Byś poszedł? Akurat... (Yeah, sure you would..) - doubtfully

But it's not standard and proper use...
