http://www.worldlanguage.com/Products/Polish/Kids/Page1.htm a few ideas.
Here's a few ideas.
I spoke only Polish to my children when they were born and still do , but when they went to kindergarten they prefer to speak english. But my mom and Polish friends pretend they don't understand so they have to speak Polish. It's best to teach them at an early age so they can pronounce the sz, cz, ż sounds.

Try getting them books (they can be bought with tapes to listen to)
that polish kids use to learn their first steps.

We call them "Czytanka" (the plural is Czytanki)

Those kids of books cover all basics, letters and reading.

I'm sure you should be able to find something on ebay or try polish allegro.pl and find an auction with shipment abroad.

"A child taught a second language after the age of 10 or so is unlikely ever to speak it like a native."

She has already been learning French at school and can sing songs in French at 9 so i doubt she will have problems with polish speaking not like a native but as good as like me ...

Szarlotka the course i did was OCN level one Polish Language

I do know that Nottingham New College and Sutton Community College (Sutton in Ashfield) and Joseph Priestley College in Leeds run Polish courses as i got this information via LearnDirect

Nope, no Polish yet. Already checked it out.

a child could use my 9year old would like to learn the language

you can use some of Brzechwa's short poems (I still have the edition of his "100 bajek")
for example:
Dzik jest dziki, dzik jest zły.
Dzik ma bardzo ostre kły.
Kto spotyka w lesie dzika,
Ten na drzewo szybko zmyka.

or something else:

Milet Picture Dictionary by Sally Hagin is quite good (and not just for kids!)

You can find it at:
milet.com/milet_languages.asp?lang=Polish-English

But you can get it cheaper on Amazon or abe.com.

I photocopied all the pages so phonetic translations could be written under the Polish words...

There's a newish book out too for kids, call Minutka the bilingual dog, not got it yet, but will have it on order soon. Again found on milet.com or abe.com or Amazon.
