I can feel that you are lookin for an argument...no problem boy , you got it....explain clearly what you mean by "western cvilisation" and I will send you a secret Polish recipe for making a good bigos and sausage . The last one was known to improve the mentality of some westerners,,,but only few .so don't keep your hopes high.

Does the word DUH come to mind? Are you really that dumb that you don't even know such things as this? Why do you even have a Polish citizenship?

Have you heard of...

Fryderyk Chopin.... Paweł Edmund Strzelecki.... Kazimierz Funk... Nicolaus Copernicus... Maria Skloowska-Curie.... Krzysztof Penderecki.... Roman Polanski.... Andrzej Wajda.... JOHN PAUL II

These are just SOME names of Polish people who have made their marks in the world through Science, Music/Entertainment, Politics, Religion.... theres many many that I could add to that list.... and by saying made a mark in the world, I mean they have helped people all around the world and given other hope for the future...

hahaha! Yeah he has posted that he is Polish born Australian and that he has both Pl and Au citizenships.... but he is so Anti Pl I dont get why he even has a Polish citizenship? I guess he is one of the unlucky people in the world who have lost connection with their roots... oh well...

I think his favorite meal is probalby McDonalds or ''Hungry Jacks'' (Why change the name from Burger king??), fried kangaroo and vegemite on top sprinkled with pieces of wichedi grups.... the all true Oz meal! :P

I think u r right... i think he got kicked in the head by the kangaroo he was trying to catch for dinner!

Yes, there are so many Poles that contributed to the whole World Society. In the XX centrury the greatest person, IMO, was John Paul II. And what about the Poles whose parents were born in Poland but their children were born as citizens of another country -- in the US, for example, you can very often hear the Polish last name taken by someone influential in that country. I wouldn't be surprised if in this centrury the US will have a president whose last name sounds like "Kowalski".

Well then - lef - perhaps you should educate yourself. You shouldn`t make responsible other people for your lack of knowledge - the only one to blame here is you.

Clearly Poland has poduced super stars, point taken, (I think JP11 is the pick of the pick) but in the last 20yrs there hasn/t been much action....or am I wrong....I heard nothing of medical advances, scrience, new discoveries, it seems to rely on usa and Australia for information and help.

- How about i.e. discovering new planets - our scientists have discovered over 50% of all planets that have been discovered outside our solar system so far..

serwisy.gazeta.pl/nauka/1,34137,709723.html

..not to mention the method of discovering them.

..a method of cureing the Parkinsons diesese by implanting implants into the brain that is being used here since a coupple of years, and there had been over 400 such operations here:

cskwam.mil.pl/index.php?t1=struktura&t2=cskmon&t3=k19#ch_p

while in the US and the UK this method is still being in experimental stages:

news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/4522452.stm

...or the hundreds of other discoveries:

mnii.gov.pl/mein/index.jsp?place=Lead08&news_cat_id=496&lay out=4&offset=0&count=20

---------------------------------------------

As you can see the reason why you aren`t getting this on the news is that what I have mentioned earlier - just read the first article.

Yes - that`s becaouse this year our programers achieved this:

topcoder.com/stat?c=country_avg_rating

and our highschool students achieved this:

topcoder.com/tc?module=HSRank

And this is only one of the top world rankings.
