Poland' ethnic minorities and the Nazi-Soviet occupation of Poland

The Jewish population was mainly from Russia, and Poles never fully accepted them. When Russia invaded Poland the Jews were like hungry dogs in front of a butcher shop, and now the shop door was open. This wasn't about Communism, or Bolsheviks, it was simply shipping off the intelligentsia, and wealthy Poles to Siberia, and grabbing their possessions.

There is no nation that would accept other nation or a large group of people on their territory. It is a normal, human behavior and shouldn't suggest that Polish people were "bad" because some of them didn't fully "accepted them." I have nothing against any nation, but some historical "facts" should be read very carefully not to be biased.

Jews are all from Poland or Lithuania. There were no Jews in Russia before RP Partitions. In 1939 very few Jews came from Soviet Union to Polish lands. Maybe some public servants and military officers. The rest had nothing to do there. Among Jews kiled in exPolish territory by Germans there are nearly no Jews from the Soviet Union.

I haven't posted here lately, because when I posted this thread, there was some kind of web 'spybot' that came up in the box that appeared to be tracking the last few websites I visited...when I post something that I think has historical value, I usually try to check at least two sources before I post...well, this 'spybot' seemed to have a record of where I had been 'surfing' and booted me off...I had heard of this, but never actually SEEN it in operation before... Anyway, the point of the post was a response to a television program that has been aired repeadedly in the US on Public Television over the last few years called 'Neighbors' based on a book by a Professor Gross...this book & program dealt with the so-called Jedwabne massacre...anyway, the book accuses the Poles of wholescale massacre of Jews in Jedwabne...well, this accusation seems to be an unfair one, and I accidently ran across two websites that give another side of the story...the Polish side has never been given airtime in the US, and I took umbrage...that was the reason for the post; maybe this issue has already been discussed...

although I disagree with your overall sentiments joe(as you jolly well know :) ) Even I can admit to the obvious facts of why the Jewish side is shown in America more than the Polish side. 'ski may be commen in the end titles as camerman/sound/props/adr etc etc but stein/silver/gold etc seems to dominate producers credits.......

I am new to this whole polish forum please excuse me. and I mean the whole home. part I am a slow reader. so I have only joined this just now. yur right about poles being over looked in the last wonderful ww II. Both my parents came from the Uranian part of poland. isn'nt it great?!!

It was not just the Jews my Roman Catholic Polish family were sent from eastern Poland (Ukraine today) by the Russians to Siberia. I must add this was Feb 10, 1940.
