szarlotka 8 | 2,206 15 Nov 2007 / #2Thee is a database of stolen European cars at this site [stolencars24.eu]You will need the Vehicle Identification Number VIN - usually on a plate in the engine compartment. If the VIN plate is damaged or missing it usually means it's been nicked.

OP crasyman77 11 | 37 15 Nov 2007 / #6i am buying a mercedes c class sport still german numberplates the guy have showed me all the documents and even all the books that come with car from mercedes and the number plates are still on. i think if it would be stolen the number plates would have been taken away what do you think?
db1874 7 | 227 15 Nov 2007 / #7certainly buying second hand from germany is a lot safer than buying second hand in Poland, a lot of the used cars you see here at the Komis are rebuilt crashed cars and many are also clocked.
