I need Kaczynski's email address!!!!!!!!! I am done!! I love my heritage, but Ill be dam if I will sit back and hear all this crap and he is doing nothing about it!! Companies making women wear headbands during monthly!! diapers on women Cashiers! its disgraceful, and unjustified.. theres nothing more humiliating!! if it isnt hard enough for women to have children, raise this family, work, do all the Drs Appts, run kids to school , prepare dinners, clean , press, etc etc etc!! NO EXCUSES for this at all!! Maybe if more of us American Polish start emailing our disgust, and there is something he can do about it, maybe he will focus more on the problems at hand!! Heck anyone American, Australian, Uk, throw out those emails, this has to stop. imagine if your wife was to go to poland, and no experience . so she takes a job as a cashier, would you want her wearing that? These companies, they need a good Arse kicking! who ever manages. I just cant believe this happens and is still happening !!! I am so mad!! Where is their privacy rights???? I dont know about anyone else, but this is appalling!! if its a joke, please stop if its true, please Lets stop it!!!!!!

Thank you Witek, I dont know what you find so funny, I know they are twins, was it the facts laid out ? Maybe its a joke to you, but it isnt to me. my polish sisters are suffering, and you should be feeling the same. People have to deal with such demeaning work conditions, its no wonder they leave!! I know their is much more that needs attention, but first and formost should be ones secure livelyhood.

Maybe Fisz or Giles can remember, i am so mad though, i cant even think straight. Degrading, demeaning, sickening. The policy was abandoned after critical media coverage worldwide." if its no longer an issue, thats super! but think about it, 2004 is only 3 years ago thats not a long time. companies can still be doing stupid crap we havent heard yet for people fearing loss of employment!! 3 years isnt that long, if it was 20 years or so, I would say, ok, it was still demeaning but someone did something, and they were caught. I can tell you, a Law should be passed, companies try to get away with so much even if it was 2004, and no longer a policy with companies, or that company, they should have been used as an example for all the other companies and served heavy fines for their unlawful practices of unfair labor and lack of Privacy which every human being has a right to!!! man or woman!!

Pat, I actually have heard about it some time ago and you are right - it's not being advertised by anybody and it seems to be very prevelent in foreign owned supermarkets. It was hard for me to believe too.

I dont know how you get one of those petitions going, I never did one, but i think it would be a good thing to show them a law must be passed to protect these workers if there is such a law already in place, then they need to crack down now! form some type of undercover survelliance and see if they are letting workers take breaks ( by hidden camera at the cashiers desks) . those who are not following the law, shall pay some hefty huge fines and risk of store closure..

it seems to be very prevelent in foreign owned supermarkets. please tell me in what supermarkets? where? funny i was in a lot of stores in Poland incl. Tesco and nowhere did i see women wearing special headbands. You Americans are funny
