polish girls outnumbers polish men interms of relationships with native from uk or ie

I have noticed that there're only relationships polish girl+a guy from uk or ireland. Therae are hardly a couple native uk girl+a guy from poland. Why does it happen so? Do the girls detest polish men?
I have many friends /girls/ who went to Ireland or UK and there/almost everyone/, they found their boyriends. Im not jealous but Im a sort of sorry coz it may mean that ,we -polish men-are just wrose.

justwondering - Trust me english women like Polish men, it must be that the girls go out more and socialise, therefore meeting other people....xxx

It' this dreaded: "the grass is greener on the other side" thing.
I'm Polish and I was married to an American because at that time I thought it was cool. But in reality his thoughts and beliefs and upbringing were too different than mine. I have come home now. I'd do anything for my Polish guy and he'd do the same for me. That's where I belong. But when you're young and silly you want to experience how it would be with someone different from you.
Personally, I don't think it works.

krysia - the english are vey different from the Americans, if Poland hadn't been under communism do you really think they'd be the way they are now, they have a few years catching up to do, the UK has declined in the last 20 years whilst Poland has been catching up - please dont think that the English are like most Americans - there are some with strong values - I dont want to sound harsh, but we English really don't like to be compared with Americans, I'm sure there are some nice people over there but on the whole most English dont hold the Americans in high esteme


You married an American because you lived in America too

I am not comparing The English to Americans. I can't and I won't.
I've been to England numerous times and the ones I met were VERY polite. I think the difference is that English guys have more respect towards women. They take more pride in their looks, while Americans don't care how they look. And they treat women with less respect. I'm not saying all Americans are like that either. But it's the society you grow up in. And that's where the differences are.

I understand. The more I know Americans, the less I like them. For example. I got divorced. The court system is all in favor of the man. I have two young children, 3 and 5. The American court system split them equally between the x and me. These children don't want to be with him. They cry after me. I was always with them. But the American court system doesn't care. Equal rights. And the children are the victims here.
This is unheard of in Poland. The mother gets the children. That's why I am so pisssed at Americans.

That's why I'm on this forum all the time because my children are gone, my BF is in Poland and I have nothing better to do with my life.

But you're dealing with the American government and politics. The majority of people here(where I live anyway) do not agree with out government or judicial system. Not many Americans like it at all. Unless you're from the mid west..or maybe the south. Where do you live Krysia?

FISZ - thanks...but actually the americans I have met is when I've been away, they're always the loudest and they're impatient and rude to staff in restaurants and above all they're dont half talk BS...oh and they dont really have a sense of humour - they dont get irony and when dry wit

I am talking about the American system.
I have traveled with Americans to Poland and they have this "I am better and more advanced than you" attitude. They talk loud. That's why one of them got robbed in a crowded bus in Warsaw. They could smell a "rich American" a mile away.
By no means are all Americans the same. But once you get mad at someone, it just doesn't go away that easy. That's why there are so many racists, because they had a bad experience with that person.

Well, sounds to me like you need to choose a better crowd to associate with. Maybe I'm a bit older and associate with more mature people. Who knows. I never run into problems in PL but I do know what you're talking about. When I was visiting Krakow I saw a few American teenagers getting very loud and obnoxious in the Center and I was rather embrassed. I do notice a lot of other loud obnoxious people as well. In poznan it was the British and in Gdansk there were extremely loud Germans.

FISZ - I'm not saying that all americans are horrid, you seem a rather nice chap - maybe I've just see the worst - I have never associated with americans, I have been patronised by a couple when out in bars in Czech Republic and been irritated by a few whist in restaurants in Holland and Poland...Yes some english are complete cocks when in large groups abroad I really cant argue with that.

Nope, never tried that one, I decided where to go and then do some reasearch, I have to admit I do love living in England - everything on the door step - Poland, Russia and Iceland are on the cards for next year.....

It think that's why england is so popular it's really cheap to fly to places, it only cost me £17.00 return to Poland in July and it's only about £25.00 when I go in December...it's just knowing what airlines are doing what and finding good locations when you get to your destination.

you know, I was reading what you say about men and the courts with divorce in the U.S. and have to say you are completely wrong on this one. The courts favor women more than men most of the time. Your x-husband must have been lucky. I was not lucky and I got 50% custody of my daughters because Iam a very great father and dad. I coach them in soccer, help them with home work, taught them to swim, ride bikes, and interact socially with other in the U.S. It's not the say that they need to be with me 100% of the time as this is wrong and they need to see thier mother just as much as me, but to say such a blind statement that fathers should not be involved only to pay the bills and have the mother raise the children is wrong. Again, your situation may be completely different and I don't mean anything personal by this statement, but again men usually get screwed.

Krysia, your mad at the system. I am sure there are glitches you couldnt get around.
but we Americans are not all bad . I agree that the mother should have full custody
but, at the same time, agree that the father should. here in America, it is fair practice
nowadays, and it didnt used to be up until a certain point, but there are mothers who
have done things to their children that warrant the father taking them.

in your case, it is difficult, because you are from another country, so there are laws
probably set in place for such cases, because we have fathers here who were
born in another country, went back, then came back and took the children out of
the country (kidnapped) for the Mother to never see them again, select few get
lucky to find their children again.

you and your ex had a rough go. it sounds like you gave him custody. which is hard
to do, and I give you much credit to have done that. And when they become of age
which is 12 I think, they can choose you, instead of their father. I think that is the age
which , the courts can ask the children which parent they want to live with.

Keep Strong, keep your head up high. and keep in touch with those Little ones.

What she is feeling as a mother is Anger, frustration, hurt, every feeling a parent whos
helpless to the court system is feeling.

Her relationship was different then yours. and her situation as well.
I understand your point as a father, you have involved yourself in your childrens
daily activities, which is good to have a relationship that is peaceful and together
so that it is for the children.

hers however is across the globe! so her bitterness is warranted..
you are living in poland right? <~Least that is what I thought i read.

Its very complicated, but she does have the right to feel this anger, and blame
at our system, it could be the same for us in UK or Poland.

Why Polish men aren't popular in the UK & Ireland amongst women while polish gals are sought after by men there ?
Well, IMHO a Polish guy in these countries is considered as a poor-English-speaking, low paid, without having a snowball's chance in hell for a promotion at work, dirty proletary, that's why.

Im going to have to dissagree with you Bartolome, not all Polish men are in this situation, I worked for a large Engineering Company and there were a couple of Polish guys there and as far as I was aware they were paid circa. 45K and in a good position...also they spoke good english and were in a position where they could go for promotion at work...it all depends really.....

Yeah, there were TWO of them in an ENGINEERING COMPANY. Most of the Poles hovewer work for the lowest wages for agencies, in factories, in general on dead-end positions, and very often when a woman finds out that she speaks to a Pole, she instantly loses her interest.

Well their not the type of women that you want to be with if all they're after is money....also it's an English Engineering company so I'd say having two professionals who are Polish isnt bad.....there are lots of Engineering consultancies in Manchester so I have no idea how many other polish people are working at them....my point was that if someone has the qualifications the opportunities are there and women who want men for money are unhappy with their lives and think a man with money is going to make it all better...

Yeah, you're right, money is not all, but you go out and clash with reality. And it's not all about money, it's mostly about who you are. Even more Polish women complain about Polish men, so I'm feeling kinda being in a tight corner here
I think however that Polish qualifications are valued much less than British ones, that's why I still can't get any good job here, only cleaning, factories and general work for somebody with basic education.
