American Social Security taxed in Poland?

billhill   Nov 27, 05, 15:45 /  #
My wife, dual Polish and American citizen, and I are considering moving to Poland to retire. If I just have my Social Security deposited into an American bank and live off credit/debits cards how would Poland be able to tax my retirement?

If I were you, I would ask a family member to withdraw the money for you and send it via westernunion or similar... Otherwise, you'll probably end up paying taxes for both governments smile

Too funny.
Your retirement will not be taxed , just continue to use debit card and direct deposit to your account here in the states. ;)

They may still control debit card transfers and western union for sure. Take cash little by little (I think you can take $10K per person every time you go Poland with no taxation).
