Traveling out to Southern California in a couple weeks (Los Angeles/Riverside/Santa Barbara/Palm Spring). Anyone else out there?

Anyone know of any Polish communities, restaurants, etc out there?

Thanks!

I know of one in SD, that is Polish owned and operated, but they cater to the American tastes, have only a few real polish dishes...

You may want to try Gazzolo's European restaurant in San Bernardino, Calif.
The owners are Polish & Italian. They have kielbasa to die for!

A sincere thanks PF, for putting up with me FIVE terrific years, muah!

Hm. Can't think of any, and I've been living in Orange/Riverside/San Bernardino/LA Counties for the past seven years. Not too much out here, I don't think, although the suggestions so far look promising. :) I'll be as interested as you are to see how those suggestions turn out. :)

Hi gloios,

I went to the Route 66 Festival in San Bernardino, California tonight. Gazzolo's European Restaurant had a food booth there. I had to have a Polish kielbasa & kapusta sandwich. It was out of this world! Delicious!

I am so tempted to go down there. Have you ever tried the ones at the Yorba Linda festivals? They're the best I've had.

I've tried the kielbasa at Yorba Linda. It's very good. I prefer the food better at the Los Angeles bazaar. My family's been going there since before I was born.

I don't know if I'm brave enough to attend the Yorba Linda festival this year. The Polish ex-boyfriend goes there. I don't want to bump into him, after our break up in June.

yikes. I don't blame you. It's kind of slow during the day anyway. It's not until night that it comes alive. I'll have to try the L.A. bazaar.

Hmm. Seems I missed out on the stuff in San Diego while I was living there, never knew it existed. To expand the thread to include the other end of the USA...anyone know any places near Norfolk, Virginia?
