Checklist for converting agriculture land to building land in Poland

tmp   Dec 17, 07, 11:06 /  #
Hi,

I am thinking of buying a land that is 4000m2 - currently it has one house on it and rest is just grass. I want to split it into 3 pieces of land and sell them separately. Has anyone done this before? Is there a checklist I could follow? What needs to be done to convert it properly.

Many thanks

Check with the local authority (wydzial architektury & geodezja) to see whether there is a development plan for the area and ask them what the chances of conversion are (or get a lawyer to do this). Get a surveyor to draw up the plans and submit the paperwork and then wait for the documentation to come back. I had a plot split in 2 in Krakow last year - took 3 months from start to finish.
