general questions about Gdansk locations

What can anyone tell me about two locations in Gdansk? Zakopianska street is this a downtown location? Baczynskego street, which is only 20 minutes from the Baltic. Thank you for any info.

zakopianska is out the station turn right about ten mins - Baczynskiego is down towards brzezno trojmiasto.pl/mapa/szukaj.phtml

My wife and I will take posession of her mother's condo. Her daughter lives in the condo close to the Baltic. It has ocean view. We will look to sell one or both. I'm just trying to get a feel for the locations. Both are two bedrooms. The Zakopianska location is ground floor.

Zakopianska is closer to the old town - i dont know brzezno that well but believe its moving up...

What's the atomosphere in the area? Young people, old people, mixed? We're waiting for my wife's immigration case in the States. I'm hopeful that we will visit Poland by June. gdansk has a beautiful old town http://www.polishforums.com/hometown_vacation_pictures_poland-5_1066_4 .html close to shops, various shopping centres, theatres, cinemas, bars and restaurants. the main street is pedestrianised and starts at the top of the old town, about a 5-1O min walk from Zakopianska, and runs down to a canal at the bottom with gates at both ends - see pictures in link above. the old town is a mix of old and young with an emphasis on old if anything. loads of tourists, especially in the summer when they have various events including a huge market that takes over pretty much the whole of the old town. i dont really know much about brzezno other than it has a beach and a pier... it is near the nowy port part of gdansk which is full of ugly communist blocks but also a part of the city ear-marked for huge regeneration... at some point in the future... when they get round to it... this site will give you an idea of what property is being sold for partnerzy.gda.pl - it has an english version search under gdansk brzezno and gdansk siedlce
