Dh (my husband) is not taking news well..

Well today I told dh I'm pg and he was not as happy as I had hoped............
I'm kinda worried...about his reaction(we wanted a 2nd baby after ds turned 2 and ds turns 2 in Feb)He said I've ruined his Christmas and his family won't understand that I should think about his poor elderly mother and how I've ruined everybody's Christmas but I can't travel by plane b/c it's high risk pg......I can't risk baby's health or my own.........dh says the baby isn't real yet.....and I should just go but it's 14 hrs in a plane.......so gonna spend Christmas alone w/ds...........with no tree, no decorations, and dh says no to spending money on gifts b/c he says we have to save..........and I know we do but would like to put up artificial tree before he goes but it's too heavy for me to lift right now........

I guess what I'm wondering is it just my dh who is upset a little or would they(catholic in laws) really not care if I lost baby on the plane b/c of blood clots to see them at Christmas? They are staunchly catholic.......but dh isn't and I don't know anything about Catholicism........perhaps could someone tell me a little about Polish Catholicism?

is dh your husband/partner?-you already have a child with him?-he doesnt sound as if he cares very much about you being pregnant-waht exactly is he annoyed about?

Dh is my husband and let's just say this pg was NOT planned. He's annoyed that I am pregnant............and just trying to be difficult I'd guess.........

Yes we already have 1 adorable child

Sorry but i think he is being a bit of a swine about the whole thing.....He should love you and support you on this matter...ok , it wasn,t planned and may cause a problem for you both , but he is 50% to blame too..., you didnt do this all by yourself did you....?

Lol well he's finally coming around.......went to dr and the dr said I'm definitely pregnant.........I think it was a case of foot in mouth disease.........he is warming up to the idea.......I guess he was just in shock......yes the baby is his.....

He was just shocked. Good.
Many Polish Catholics say children are holy, they are miracles so I'm sure his family would understand if you don't come. But this is your life, your child, your family. Don't listen to what others think, but what you want.
Besides, that's the best thing that could happen to your other child too, to have a brother or a sister.

I agree with Krysia -- you are giving your other child a priceless gift. After you and your husband have left this earth, your kids will have each other. Congratulations!

Thank you....I think it's important to have more than one child and I can tell my son is lonely
for other children sometimes.....I will miss dh but my mother has come to stay with me and I should be ok.......
