Someone special? ... heh.. all girls are special you know
I was just referring to one of the recent posts (which has unfortunatelly been lost during the last server-backup among many other good posts) ... but I guess I am still the old-fashioned romantic one..

Yea, I think I kind of know what you mean but not entirely. It's usually men who forget the imporance of the above not girls no matter what age

I'm just saying that sometimes they try to do something and they chose wrong way... the poem has to be good. if it's average it's weak. instead of poem, invitation to theather is better.

Okay I understand, but its not something English men do, so I suppose never having had a poem, weak or otherwise, I dont think I'd mock someone for trying...

I like poems because they come from the heart. And some make me laugh because they're suppose to make you happy. I like roses any color and I like chocolates.
It's not what you want but what that other person gives you from his heart that counts.

Hmmm. Good question. How about if you send me a poem, flowers, and a box of chocolates under the moonlight and I'll let you know if I like it. You can try one that you've written first and then one that someone else has written and we'll see which one works better.

Seriously, I personally have never been treated like that before in my entire life. Svengoolie is the first man who has ever sent me a poem. (Svengoolie from the forum, in case you don't know).

I think it is like everything in life – some do, and some don’t…..

Well, I guess when you get to know someone well enough, you know whether or not they would appreciate a poem or not. I sent someone a small poem tonight and she was happy because a) I sent something in the first place and b) I took the trouble to find something that was both appropriate and in Polish.

Hey, if sending a poem to someone makes them happy, who cares about stereotypes and generalisations!
