Unsigned and local music scenes in Poland

Hi

I'm moving to Lublin in October and as a freelance session musican from England, I'd be v. interested in playing with some bands in Poland, if the opportunity arises.

Does anyone have any experience of the unsigned and local music scenes in PL? Except for the obvious prefered musical styles (pop, metal, europop etc), are indie/mod/retro genres popular in Poland?

Not really, I guess. I think there's quite aggressive competition on the unsigned music scene. But I could be wrong.
