Sylvia 1 | 5 14 Jun 2007 / #1I'm leaving for a trip to Poland in 10 days, and I am staying for 6 weeks. I havent been to Poland since I was 3, so i don't really remember anything. And I was just wondering what places I should visit, to make this the best experience ever. So I'd really appreciate it if you all could give me some ideas. Thanks
OP Sylvia 1 | 5 14 Jun 2007 / #4It's a graduation present from my parents, and I'll be staying with family. They all live on the eastern side.
hello 22 | 890 14 Jun 2007 / #5In Poland people don't operate with "East/West/North/South" words; Poland is too small comared to the US. The Eeastern side is less urbanized than the West/Center of Poland. Do you mean Kielce, Rzeszow, or Bialystok area?
OP Sylvia 1 | 5 14 Jun 2007 / #6yea, I'll be in Bialystok for a while. And then some place called Kamien Stary. My dad's hometown.
Shawn_H 14 Jun 2007 / #7I have relatives in Bialystok. We visited the Białowieża forest. Very nice. Mikolajki was a quaint little area, lots of lakes and forest. In the south, I liked Kazimierz Dolny (quaint), Krakow (beautiful city) and salt mines at Wieliczka.Congratulations on your graduation! and enjoy your trip. Be sure to post some photos in the appropriate thread upon your return!
