Karta pobytu help - property ownership problem

I have been in Poland for over a year now and I still can't get my karta pobytu because the local townhall is insisting that everyone registered as being an owner of the property has to say they agree that I am a residing at the address given. Is this correct?
As it stands, 1 of the 'owners' is dead, another is having a hissy fit and others aren't contactable.

Please help as I need to get the card so I can get my NIP and a bank account.

Hmm... I don't know but aren't you getting karta pobytu from regional, not local administration ?

First local for 3 months, then you have to get a regional one but I got the local one and 2 weeks before it was "out of date", I went to get the regional one but they needed a month to process it, so it was already out of date (before it was out of date)????. If you understand it, you need your head examined. I counted the girl had 13 stamps in front of her, so I just left.
It is not as bad here as in other countries in the E.U, but this is a Polish forum soooo.

Isn't there talk of getting rid of this whole mirigmaroal?

Got the local, then had to go to Warsaw to get paperwork for the regional one. When I went back to pick it up from Warsaw I was given a slip of paper and told to go back to the local office to get the actual card.... it's driving me insane.

Does your building have an administrator? He/she is usually appointed by all the owners to represent them and deals with these sorts of issues.

Nope. It's a private family home. Unfortunately, my husbands' gran passed away without making a will and so they registered all those who survived her as owners which has made it impossible to even get gas hooked up to the house.

If you can't solve the problem then maybe just give a bottle of vodka to some friends of your husband and they will say that you are residing with them...

Been trying that too, but everyone is in the same situation here... normally the school I'm working for rents an apartment for teachers, but they haven't for me - that said, they haven't helped me at all with any of the paperwork.
I think I might keep the bottle of vodka for myself - or see if I can by a 1% share in the property or something.

I have done. Most of our street is owned by 2 families and rented out. Have even offered to rent an apartment for a couple of months from one of them just to get it sorted, but she doesn't want anyone else registered at her address. The only other one I know in my area is owned by an ex-pat living in the US and she said she would think about it then disappeared back to the US for another year. Have asked my boss, but as long as I haven't got the card he doesn't feel any pressure to register me at work (which is a bit stupid given that my name appears on a lot of the official documents as an employee).

What do you mean by 'property'? the building? the apartment?

In my case all I needed was a copy of the deed of the apartment I live in (the owner didn't have to write or do anything IIRC). This was a couple of years ago but I would have thought things wouldn't have gotten harder....

And if your husband is a Polish citizen I thought it was easier still, how is he registered? Is he an owner?... I suspect somebody at townhall is making problems for no reason or holding out for a bribe.
