Moving to Poland from Dubai, living on 22,000 PLN a month

yatesjo1   Aug 21, 07, 03:39 /  #
I am currently based in Dubai (American) and have been asked to move to Poland. My primary request is that I maintain my tax free status (or they increase to make the net amount the same). This equates to about 22,000 pzl a month. Now I know that this is significantly higher than most salaries in Poland, but what kind of lifestyle could I honestly have in Warsaw (i.e. type of apartment, level of car, etc). I appreciate any responses, but want to make sure level of life would be the same as Dubai (which has gotten out of hand lately).

you won't need a car. it's really a hinderance in small tight places like PL.

Do you really need to ask? With a salary that much you'd think you'd have more of a clue.

Good. Minimum wage is around 900zl a month. Average workers anywhere between 1500 to 3500zl pm. HOWEVER WARSAW IS NOT DUBAI. The change will be a shock. Firstly weather, is not something money can affect. However on the plus you'll be in a prime position to visit other European cities on cheap flights.

22,000zl will be very nice thank you very much. Sod renting a place get on the housing market with wages like those securing a morgage will not be hard. On 22,000zl I hired myself a driver at the weekends and get myself ferried around the nightspots getting mangelized. However I've got a wife so no more fun for me. I
