"well-off" income in poland

what is the average wage in poland-in pounds please- what level of income in poland is consisdered "well-off"

2500 PLN a month is about 500 pounds. But u can't see it that way. Doing well is 5000-6000PLN, my bracket. Well-off is upwards of 8000PLN

my friend-a welder from the shipyards in poland-says no work there-earned about £600-800-a month-so above average-but he has little in the way of clothes and materialistic items-portrays himself as poor-he has been told he could double even treble his wage here if he works as welder- so is he just greedy? and wwaht happens if he works here for a few years-goes back to poland-how can hw then expect to live within his averasge income again? its just that i have heard people say- the polish come to england to earn their money they go back home-to what?- is it just boastful to have a bigger house or something?

It's possible but it's very competitive to get into jobs using English to liaise with foreign companies. The money often buys time to scout around if nothing else sometimes. I think it's the family aspect that is bringing Poles back in their droves.

Coming back to their family as they feel duty bound to do so. Dropping lovers sometimes has to happen but it should be done tactfully. I don't think the number of Poles who have affairs is as high as some may claim but I've never done any empirical research, it's just a hunch. Their return also depends on their contractual stipulations. Britain has more and more short term contracts, jobs popping up here and there with no permanence or stability. Poles often accept such positions.

my friend is coming over without his partner (just posted a thread about his relationship) they love each other-but he is a good looking guy-i am sure he will attract the girls-i have a boyfriend-but one of my friends has already made her feeling known that she likes him-i dont want anyone to get hurt-

What I meant was, what kind of wage is just about enough to support someone living in a typical Polish town?

i cant help you on your confusion .. most my polish friends work 37.5 hours in warehouses to be honest and get 2 days off a week unless they do overtime .. odd few within hotels and leisure industry careful research and not some long winded jump feet excursion is required when relocating anywhere in the world sorry for sounding off ... brave yes though excited and ready for a challenge in the next stage of my life and one that i believe to be better for my daughter :)

As for earning capacity, wages are decreasing and we are heading for a recession so jobs will be a lot scarcer than they were - my suggestion is that he stays in Poland earning his above average wage and safe guards his job there....
