Should "noimmigration" be banned permanently? Your opinions please.

I am still on the fence on the noimmi issue. I am all for free speech, but at what point does it cease to be speech, and become pure trash?

I believe enforcement of the current rules should suffice. If he got suspended for each and every infraction, it likely would cut out most of his crap.

I agree that M should stick around, and use the report button more frequently as required.

It helps when a member is about to be banned for a few days, as it was in this case. Your comments suggest he posted something that blatantly broke the forum rules (which he did), but he has never been banned for that (which is not true).

In fact he was banned for a few days and will be banned again (next time for a week) if he continues breaking the rules. If after another ban he breaks the rules again, he will be banned for a month. In some time ban time may come to a full year.

Which may take an additional 60 seconds to do a ban when needed.

Then why did you stay quiet for the time you were banned? If you know anything about banning an IP range you should know you will not come back with a "differan I.P and name."

I have put myself in a bit of a sort now.
I hope miranda does come back, I really feel she has offered a lot to this forum and although you (dear reader) might doubt my intentions.
I will have to protest against miranda's absence, if she does not post again, nor will I.



Again I can see how this might work against her but this is not my intention.
The world is indeed a wonderful and strange place, let's share in every aspect of it on this forum. (especially the polish aspect).
I am really not such a do gooder in real life, just another man.

I, like many other users find him very insignificant and have no problem ignoring him.

I have no preference if he should get banned or not.

If admin did ban him, what about other foreign users who are spreading racism against Poles, and Poles spreading racism against other foreigners? What should admin do to them?

Back in grade school, you guys ever had one of those friends who told you "oh why are you hanging out with so and so?!?! Ugghhh!! I don't wanna be friends with you anymore!"
Ok we're not exactly hanging out with noimmigration, even though he likes to 'hang' around the same forums we participate in, but the if-they-don't-ban-him-I-will-leave attitude, this has to be a joke.

I'm not as close to miranda like some of you are so I don't know how she is, but I'm sure if she wishes to ignore him, she will have no problem doing it.

I hope everyone stays. Miranda and SeanBM. And I appreciate that the Admin has a plan for supporting the mission statement. I think that should suffice.

Noimmi has consequences once something that violates the mission statement is reported. It's up to us to point out the better way to be. Sometimes the contrast between what someone like Noimmi says and what others say, is a good lesson in which example others wish to follow. I agree with those who say that once you start with this type of ban, you need to ban others that you may like or even agree with.

It could come back to haunt us, when someone who we feel is just fine, is viewed as racist by someone else. Not saying at all that what I have seen him say is right. But if he gets his time out and the length increases, that is also part of the rules of this forum and supports the mission statement.

So, I say no to the ban and also encourage members to avoid making those who love them weep by their absence. Hugs to all.

many have pointed out, both better way and just outright told him off.

both ways dont seem to work.. at least not with him. we have actually had many who were the same ( thought of as trolls) but turned out to be good forum citizens and now are respected members despite the odds.

but this isnt always the case.. some come here to purposely stir up trouble.. if it wasnt the case with NO immi , then someone would have said by now, well I think hes good peeps and we should try to see both sides.. but his comments are always about something bad and he doesnt really offer up much other then trolling.

alot of folks didnt like michal, I just ignored him, cause he said in every post he would offer up some translations ( when he could) but then immediately afterwards have something bad to say about polish women and men..

No immi is just like him, only his range is wider.. he dont care who he upsets..

Hey admin, when someone is banned, does it ban the whole site or just the ability to post? because my thoughts are torture.. if someone gets banned, we should be able to make threads ( freedom of speech) Like this one, and they only can see this thread.. and they would have to read all of it, but couldnt post to anything anyone said.. like poor poor no immi for instance,, he would see all of our posts, but couldnt defend himself.

Torture is the way to go!! we all know how hard it is to not post in these threads that catch our eyes..

this way we can all vent. and they get to come back eventually, and say what they want to, but by that time we all will have become bored and moved on :)

i think all this is a bit crazy, it is a public forum, people speak their mind and they are free to do so. i know noimmigration pretty much crossed the line but if everyone ignored it he would eventually get bored and stopped posting ages ago. we all know what he's like, why make a whole thread about him, why say you will leave unless he goes? it's JUST a forum! lol. one member more or less, you think Adm will care? it might be harsh but it's true, it's not like you have to pay for posting here or pay for reading it. you are free to join and free to leave. it's your own choice wheteher you want to be here, noimmigration got his satisfaction and attention and he will keep coming back for more, well done!

It all comes with the democracy thing. He has the right to speak just as I have the right to ignore it or call him a twat. Democracy does have some drawbacks (chief of which being the vote of a twat like him counts for the same as the vote of an intelligent, tolerant and well informed man such as myself) but overall it seems better than the alternatives.
