If I wanted some of my threads deleting, would anyone get upset?

I've got too many old threads hanging around. This place is beginning to look like the clothing section in a charity shop.
I think it's time for a bit of a clearout. Would anyone get upset if I made request for a few threads to get destroyed?

Has anyone else got any threads they started that they just wish weren't there? Threads that don't bring anything interesting to the forum or drifted rapidly off-topic before anything useful could be posted?

I don't agree. I would like some threads to go into a searchable archive though.

Not entirely. The moment the first person responds, they cease to be the ownership of the member who started them.

Would it help if I listed the worst ones that I'd gladly see the back of?

Some of the threads I started that I don't really like:

The Dative Case (This thread enlightens no-one about the dative case - I was confusing it with the genitive)

Why? Would there be a lawsuit over intellectual property rights from those who participated in creating the thread?

Mb you could start with some of your own you hate..
And hopefully others will follow your lead.. ))

Personally. I have started so few. But so many have added to them.
It would be sad to loose them.

Mb you shouldnt worry so much.. If what you were doing wasnt ok.
Admin would be sure to let you know.. ))

I have only mentioned ones that I started.

Personally. I have started so few. But so many have added to them.
It would be sad to loose them.

Some threads don't have anything added to them worth reading.
If there were any great responses, I wouldn't suggest deletion.

I've had threads deleted before - good ones and bad ones.

If I look at my profile page, I find it quite hard to seperate the occasional good grains of wheat from the huge volume of chaff.
