Lescinskas surname. Is this of Polish origin?

My fathers surname was LESCINSKAS, he was Lithuanian. Does anybody know if this was originally a Polish Surname?

Sounds pure lithuanian to me.....

We had a name like that on PF before.

Something to do with hazel trees, possibly. But yes to isthatu, it looks Lithuanian, but whether it is of Lithuanian origin is debatable.
