Hello!
My husband and I are planning to move to Poland hopefully within the next 6 months. He was born in Poland and moved to America as a child. As he is a polish citizen but I am not, how difficult, how expensive, and how long will it take for me to become a citizen (generally speaking)? Would it make any difference if we planned to get married again once in Poland?
What about a Polish passport - will it take a long time to get approved for that? I know it will be much easier to travel throughout Europe if I have a Polish passport versus my American one.
Thanks for any assistance!

(...) By Naturalization:

Citizenship can be granted by the President of the Republic of Poland. An Alien is eligible to apply for the citizenship if he has resided in Poland as a lawful permanent resident for at least 5 years. The granting of the citizenship can be subjected to submission of the evidence of the loss or renunciation of foreign citizenship.

Marriage to a Polish national does not affect citizenship of both parties.
