Zimmermann, Famous US figure Skater

Greetings,
does anyone know how I can get in direct touch with a Famous Figure Skater called John Zimmermann.
His name is the same as in our family and when we watch him on TV it like watching my younger brother.
We are sure that he is a member of our family, and as there were several brothers that left Poland during the war (we know two ended up in America) it would be great to connect the dots (so to speak)
any one have any ideas????
