"Description
I get an error: "Invalid class string" or "Server.CreateObject Failed"

Resolution
You probably did not register one or more of the supplied ActiveX controls.
Follow the installation instructions"
I found it on Google.
Have you tried to remove it and then reinstall again?

In Vista that may not work. The problem is Vista's idiotic security. It simply disallows write access to certain resources (directories, registry entries etc) unless you perform install via run as admin.

What I found out is that, under Vista, it is a good practice to create a separate install dir. outside "Program Files" and install all proggies in there. Still not a 100% guarantee but worked for me. (and then I dumped Vista and went back to XP anyway)

I hear weird things about Vista...I'm not in a rush to replace my good ol' XP.
I can fix most of its aches and pains. :)
Especially after what you said z_d

Vista will be fine in another few months, XP was a pain too until Service Pack 2.

Have you tried right-clicking on the .exe or shortcut, selecting 'Preferances' and running the program in compatibility mode:XP?

Or burning to disk and running from that?

And while we are on the subject, what is this prog you speak of? is it any good? I just started learning so any help is good ;-)

I had a Vista laptop for about 9 months now and i must say it does cause problems with installing just about anything, even if its supposed to be "vista compatible"... it did get better with time, microsoft keeps sending updates and they must be sorting vista out slowly... but i definitely wouldnt recommend it to anyone who is happy with their XP. vista is supposed to be more user friendly, but in fact you have to do everything manually...

i'm not happy with Vista. it asks me (confirms) everything when i want to make a change. annoying.

Having to tell my comp to find my server everytime i re-attach. grrrr.

i miss the "Camera and Scanner Wizard" from XP.

anyhoo....i'm still looking for a patch... but the ones from the Techland website are no good.

ha ha tell me about it. me and my fiance have vista on our laptops and it just loves to "forget" that its connected to the internet. i thought it was the wireless or firewall, but its clearly not... did you try e-mailing microsoft about your problem, or getting someone to have a look at it for you? if your computer is still on warranty you can ring the shop you bought it from and ask them if they could help you, they shouldnt charge you.

Try this one kompas.info.pl/ it works with vista and is about the best one out there as my wife uses it for her scientific translations, and it is only 100zl to own.

However using these, you will only get a gist of the translation (about 50-60%) and then you have to fill in the blanks.
We used to use English Translator XT Professional but its a pain in the ass and unstable.
Torrent address is here torrenty.org/torrent/161639
