There are so many days for remembering things that I can't remember any of them.

For those who decided this day have no more importance than 'Day without cigarettes' or 'Day without car'. Those folks spend days and nights thinking about new occasions to establish 'special day'. Note how far on their list of 'issues to commemorate' were the victims of recent totalitarian regimes, they needed to wait so long.

Fortunately those people still aren't allowed to decide about anything serious.

Why only one day, should they be forgotten for the other 364?

Bureaucrats are 'justified' to spend money to promote different 'days'. They have more well paid jobs and possibility to create new trends. I don't believe in any deeper sense of such actions.
