This was one of our groups sent to Siberia, total was over 1.7 million. This is a perfect way to hold a memorial mass. Carol

Katyn memorial Mass and film

Sunday, April 13, is the 68th anniversary of one of the largest deportations of Poles, estimated at 350,000, from the Eastern regions of Poland to the Soviet Union . The Polish Scouting Organization of Illinois invites you to participate in a memorial Mass at 1:00 p.m. at the Jesuit Millennium Center , 5835 W. Irving Park Road , Chicago ; after Mass, at 2:15 p.m. there will be a special screening of the film "Katyn," directed by Andrzej Wajda and recently nominated for an Oscar in the best foreign film category. Admission is free but donations will be gratefully accepted.



There will be a second showing of the film at 4:45 p.m. , before the regularly scheduled 7:00 p.m.Mass.



(We suggest you find street parking to avoid being blocked in at the Millennium Center parking lot.)

W niedziele, 13 kwietnia, przypada 68. rocznica najliczniejszej wywozki rodzin polskich z Kresow Wschodnich do Rosji Sowieckiej,
w sumie ok. 350,000 osob. O godz. 1:00 po pol., Zarzad Obwodu ZHP Chicago i oo. Jezuici zapraszaja Rodzine Harcerska na Msze sw. w Jezuickim Osrodku Milenijnym, a po Mszy o godz. 2:15 na wyswietlenie filmu "Katyn". Film bedzie poprzedzony wstepem specjalnie dla mlodziezy. Prosimy o przyjscie w mundurach harcerskich. Wstep jest darmowy, wolne datki mile widziane. Adres JOM: 5835 W. Irving Park Road, Chicago.


Film bedzie wyswietlony po raz drugi o godz. 4:45 po pol.
