This is true. Some of us get out, but many are comfortable staying here.

Was in Ikea the other day in Wroclaw, had my dog in one hand my Ikea merchandise in the other and some security guard said somethinbg to me, I responded with Tak tak and then he said hey r you English in perfect albeit American English. Turns out he thinks America sucks and is here for a change, I met David again today at Ikea and I have to say i quite like him.

Youre spreading out the same as us. I know almost as many Yanks in Wroclaw as I do Brits most of them teaching English. Most of the yanks are gone after 4 months though.

I think a lot of people have lost their orientation nowadays wandering around like bedouins. Threatened by unemployment they make trips to all places. Globalisation touches practically everyone...there are only a few hillbillies in our modern world. Worth mentioning that there are only a few countries where people try to maintain old traditions, but modern life accelerates the decline of cultures. To take part in a culture is quite different to being a locust for a while. I don't mind being a job hopper, but I try to leave a trace. That's the point why the question is really interesting...Why do people come to Poland? How do they react on family culture in Poland?

I can't say it sucks. I don't like the way the country is being run, but it doesn't suck. Just for the fact that I can enjoy Snowboarding, go to the beach or hang out in NYC all within an hr makes it a fun place to live, but I do think we need to experience sth different.
I'd like to try living in PL, not because I hate America, but because I can :) I think since we all share this planet, we should all be able to experience different ways of life.
I'm more interested in going to PL to open a business. I see some opportunity there, but im sure there a many obsticles and I wouldn't go unless everything's sorted. I'd hate to be a visitor and end up on the streets. Must prepare well IMO.

Not everyone is open-minded, but we all should fight against racism.

I hope to move to Poland when I'm a little older. Right now, I'm still having fun getting the most out of New York, but eventually it will be time for kids. My intended is Polish, and presuming all things work out, his country seems like a nicer place to raise a family than mine. Plus, we already go every year at least once and his parents come to stay with us for about a month in addition. It would be nice see them even more without paying so much airfare! Plus, I work for a company that just opened a huge office in Wroclaw, which seems like a great city for a young couple. For many people seeking a stable place for families, Poland is a good choice.

I'm afraid that life in the United States will be more difficult in future. In such a huge country energy supply plays a key role. I wouldn't like to be the witness of the downfall which was caused by George. The scarcity of energy resources is remarkable. So back to your roots, it doesn't hurt!
