What i like about the Polish is that they are proud of being Polish, proud of Poland and prouder still of history and culture. Its so good to see people who are all of the above when it comes to their countries :)

this may have been done but I thought it would be to say what we like about poland rather than complaining about it. Me I like that the people seem to be pretty relaxed except for those running around like chickens with their heads cut off in Warsaw. But otherwise polish people are pretty relaxed about things for the most part. I like the food. Although I am vegetarian from what I have eaten here I like it. The prices. If you shop in fresh markets things are not so expensive although I understand for polish people on fixed incomes the prices are difficult nowadays. The transit system. I am in warsaw and dependent mostly on the system and its pretty good. I read they will buy all new trams instead of building a second metro line before 2012 eu cup. Reality is always good.

People are relaxed all over the world bar the big capitals and the poles come nowhere near the laid back Hawaiians or the OZs, polish food has nothing to make it stand out, as for prices they keep shooting up by all counts, and the local transport has nothing special either. Try harder. PJ.

The girls are the best. And so is their vodka. And I like the language too, apart from that, never been to Poland! Will move there next month so exciting and a nice topic to follow up on!

I like all the historic castles and churches. The dogs are pretty. Horses look nice. Seen some nice looking cats. love the storks.

The trees (at least in the southeastern section I visited) are vibrantly alive and healthy - just gorgeous. The traditional food dishes are delicious, especially when prepared by traditional people. The home-made vodka is fabulous. The open-air museums are meticulously built, maintaned and staffed. The roads were much better than I expected. Krakow (Balice) Airport was very easy to get in and out of. Krakow itself is a city not to be missed - stunning and fascinating.

Pieczarki are very good indeed but, sorry, they are no better than Scottish ones and others I surmise. Borówki are super tasty

Have any of the young people picked up on the craft of creating Pysanki.? And do they know what the symbols mean. How about paper cutting.? Are these crafts all but forgoten by the younger generation.?

If there is something that works really well in Warsaw in the taxis company MPT the well known 9191. There always on time, even if you book a taxi for an earlier flight, it's sure that you won't be late. I often mention this topic when talking about living in Warsaw.

Hospitality, hospitality, hospitality.... With the exception of the odd hotel receptionist who pulls a face at the thought of having to speak English, I always get a warm welcome in Poland. My Polish friends seem hell-bent on making sure that I return to London with lots of positive experiences. dcchris: I like the food. Although I am vegetarian from what I have eaten here I like it. I was a veggie for 8 years... but soon turned over to the dark side by some gorgeous veal served with wild mushrooms in Lublin :P ParisJazz: People are relaxed all over the world bar the big capitals What a load of rubbish.

I like the parks, bicycle paths, the underground at Zachodni where you feel like you have gone back 40 years, the free outside jazz shows, and yes the students are friendly and enjoy a good laugh. My limited experience with the taxis has been only positive. And we could say there might be a slight air of optimism? After all the rest of the worlds economy seems to be going down...

Beautiful women, nice architecture and comparably clean streets, interesting language&culture, nostalgic films&books (such as "Niewiarygodne przygody Marka Piegusa" which I was gifted when I was 7 years old)... well Poles know that there're other mushrooms apart from champignons. Seanus: Borówki are super tasty Aha. :) I found some on past weekend.
