PKN Orlen plans retail expansion in northern Germany

"Polish petroleum company PKN Orlen is planning to expand its filling station network in northern Germany by almost 200 outlets in three years time, in a bid to increase its market share by 10% in the region, reports Thomson Financial.

PKN Orlen's German subsidiary, Orlen Deutschland, operates 530 stations in the northern region of the country, controlling 7% of the market. Orlen Deutschland has made a profit of E8.5 million in 2007, according to the news source."
