Poland to open its first-ever baby store selling human babies at 22,000 dollars

The opening of the center for surrogate mothers in Poland has sparked controversy. The Catholic Church stands strong against the initiative, although many Polish citizens support the opening of the first-ever center in the country. The center has already released the price list for its services and even obtained its first clients, the Noviye Izvestia newspaper reports.

Thirty-seven women have already addressed to the center offering their healthy bodies to help those who cannot enjoy the happiness of biological parenthood. Specialists of the center pay first priority to addresses of surrogate mothers and infertile couples so that a surrogate mother would not come across her child in the streets afterwards.

The price list of the center says that the price of child-bearing will fluctuate between 15,000 and 22,500 US dollars. The list also says that the prices of happy parenthood are negotiable.

Being a surrogate mother in the US has been going on for years. Not everyone can have a child. Yeah, it says Baby store and you pay for the baby, but what you're really paying for is the Surrogate's medical bills, time off from work and other expenses. I think in the US you can get up to $50,000 for sth like this.

english.pravda

Nothing new, and the idea is very old.
Notice the headline though. As usual, Pravda managed offer sensationalism and a lie in just one newspaper heading:

Poland to open its first-ever baby store selling human babies at 22,000 dollars

first-ever - a lie
store - a lie and sensationalism
selling - sensationalism and parabola
human babies - what other babies?

No wonder they chose Pravda (The Truth) as their name. Otherwise there would be zero truth in their publications.

There is no specific mention in the article of 'baby stores'...the method of offering the babies for sale will be through a 'surrogate mother center'...it won't be Tesco running the 'center'...but the purpose is the same, the 'marketing' of human life...no one should be surprised or shocked.

There is something deeply sinister about this concept.

Indeed...It is the 'putting of a number' on a human life...I tell you: many people do not believe in God, and less in the Bible, which they consider an 'oudated and boring series of fables'...But Jesus, when He cleared the temple said this: 'You take my Father's House, which is a house of prayer, and make it into a house of merchandise'...The world, or our Father's house, is meant to be a place where we

glorify Him, and through this, we live in peace, harmony and prosperity...When we make it a 'discount store' with even babies and children for sale, we are doomed.

Oh my God. What a ridiculous text! I have never heard such a stupid thing. Selling children in stores! There was no mention about it in Polish newspapers, television, radio etc. I am sure that if it was true, there would be a great debate. We have too many catholics in Poland. Abortion is illegal here. Catholic church is against anticonception. Do you really believe that it is possible to buy a child?! It's a joke. Probably you have watched too many thrillers.

Greetings from Poland :)

Wal-Mart Announces New 'Baby-Mart' to Open in Warsaw

IHT October 1, 2008
by Boleslaw Shumski

The American retail giant Wal-Mart announced that it would open up a 'baby store' in Poland's capitol Warsaw, a spokesman for the company announcd today. Natasha Walton, Wal-Mart public relations person in Europe said that the store was going to be run as a joint venture with the Polish retail group Brudny Interes LTD. The store would sell infants from the age of 6 weeks to one year. Ms. Walton stated that 'there is a big market in Europe and the UK for infants, mostly consisting of 'infertile' couples who have been unable to procreate themselves. These couples have a usually have a much higher than average income level, and the demand is there'. The store expects a brisk trade. Wal-Mart and Brudny Interes considered having the 'baby store' as an 'online' shop, via the Internet, but certain EU Internet regulations posed a problem, so they decided to open an actual store. The pilot store in warsaw will not be a typical mega Wal-Mart operation, but rather more of a boutique 'mini-mart'. Initially, most of the infants will come from Romania, Moldova and also some Asian 'breeders'. But Ms. Walton stated that Brudny Interes LTD hope to establish a Polish 'breeding farm,' as a spur to local and regional business development.............

I wonder if their prices are going to be lower than at the other stores.

I wonder if their prices are going to be lower than at the other stores.

Brudny Interes LTD VP Stasiu Grebko announced that 'Initially prices for the babies would range from 10-15000 Euros, depending, of course, on the child's age, characteristics, appearance. And we will acept zlotys of equivalent value, along with major credit cards'. Grebko also said financing will be available through a major Polish bank yet to be announced. Grebko said that the purchase would be ' easier then buying a car.'
