President(puppet) Bush is such a hypocrite

what gives him the right to criticize Russia and what they do with Georgia??

have you heard this crap he's spewing this week??

In Washington, President Bush chided Russia on Friday for Cold War-style behavior, saying, "bullying and intimidation are not acceptable ways to conduct foreign policy in the 21st century."

Bush said the United States stands "with the people of Georgia and their democratically elected government." He said the country's sovereignty and territorial integrity "must be respected."

source>> http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/08/15/us.russia/?iref=mpstoryview

so it was justified to bomb the crap out of Iraq, then march in, overthrow the leader, occupy Iraq, when they had nothing to do with Sept 11.

then theres the whole Afghanistan deal. Funny how the "hijackers" (14 of which are still alive and not that it matters) were Saudi, legally in the USA and nothing happened over there.

Because the world asked for it. The papers, the news..saying..where is America? There is a crisis... Georgia is invaded...help..
I agree, he should not get involved. EU should learn how to resolve problems in their backyard.

With respect I find this a bit of a strange comment, when the American Government has so many interests that were initiated on their behalf. Why were they so involved in Georgia, why did they approach Poland and the Czech Republic to install the "defence shield", all of these actions simply bypassed the EU and were not even consulted with them.....this was left to the individual countries to do so. (of course I am not involving Georgia in this)
The American Government seems to poke it's nose in where the populace do not want them, and I personally can't wait until it gets bitten off.

I agree, but even with the new president in place things will not change, because US government has been acting this way for a long time.

that is precisely what US has been doing for years, so it is very hipocritical to say the least.

I agree we shouldnt get involved, but the EU is so scared of Russia they will
never do anything. Did England,Germany or France step up to the plate?

Bush will be gone in January and I cant wait, He has to be our worst president!

Then again, UK, you might not have a head yourself if it wasn't for the Yankee government.. You win the gold medal for hypocrisy on a daily basis.

The shield was and is a very bad idea.. I would try to find an out as soon as possible. I knew Bush was a fool, Tusk I kind of had a little faith in.

Of course Bush can justify these actions, he's fighting for our "freedom" from people hell bent on taking it away, America are the "goodies" and the world is a baddie. They believe their own Hollywood movies, its a shame. They're also only a relatively new country so they feel they can take over the world and colonise i.e. Britain, Germany, France etc.

Couldn't agree more. But surely this didn't and still doesn't warrant surrendering our right to impartial, fair decision making, especially foreign policy to the US? So much for the ''special relationship''. It sucks!

As you left us in Iraq.. I would say our "special relationship" is very much on the wane. Less people might have died had you stayed.. like we did on Omaha Beach.

I mean, you want to actually chide someone of foreign policy blunders.. do you actually think Britain is going to be able to work with the France and Germany on a long term basis?? The British beg money from you and then demand to be the boss. Good luck with them EU.

It's likely the next President will leave Europe to it's own devices and I can assure you the majority of Americans want this. Sending food to Georgia should be the extent of it.

?? They don't look down on me. It's easy to avoid the WASP over here. The descendants of the British Isles are the hillbillies who keep electing Bush.

Official Poland and Czeska are maybe part of anti-Slavic coalition but Polish and Czech people aren`t part of it. Not to mention Slovakia, where- nor politicians nor ordinary people didn`t batray Slavic interests
