Non-stop rain here. It was worse yesterday, but only because of a couple of (mild)thunder storms. It is difficult to report because I'm in the middle of the city and can't see beyond the end of the street.

Family up north (on the coast) have said today the weather is fine.

It's been raining pretty heavily in Gdansk for the past two days and today is no different. Thunderstorms, but no tornados.

Are Tornado`s indigenous to Poland?
They`re common in the Midwest U.S., I`ve seen a few and there pretty intense!

Not at all, they are very rare.
Or maybe I should say: they used to be? 10 years ago there was absolutely none of them, but now they do appear from time to time.

Yeah, I just spoke to my parents on the phone, they told me it was thundering yesterday evening non stop for 2 hrs.
Btw, I saw a tornado in Scottish Highland two days ago (close to Inveraray). That's a quite unusual sight, innit ? (Scottish residents of PF should have something to say about it)

At least it's just the meteorological phenomenon rather than the PF member.
It's up to you to decide which would be worse.

Sorry, Windyboy1066, it just had to be said.

Nice place, but no - I stay in Glasgow, I was only working there (lovely Glen Shira , you're going to have a wind farm there).

Eoearth says it’s Oklahoma that has that honor.

Wow it's been bloody hot all day here in Puławy with sunshine in the 30s, however in the last couple of hours we have had thunder storms with heavy rain. We had a tornado in Puławy back in 2001, which destroyed a lot of the trees in the park and took off a couple of roofs, but nothing really like that since thank god!!

According to studies by the Tornado and Storm Research Organisation (Torro), the UK has the most tornadoes for the size of the country in the world.

Whilst the United States are home to the biggest and most destructive tornadoes, they have been recorded on every continent - even Antarctica - and the UK has the highest reported frequency per unit area, in the world

They're part of the missile shield deal, they're laying the ground for what's to come. only joking. condolences to the bereaved.

Not mine, dtaylor's. Besides he wrote about the UK, not e.g. Northern Yorkshire or Dumfries & Galloway.

Sorry but it’s very confusing to the foreigner like myself. If I say you British then you tell me to be more precise like English, Welsh, Scottish. Since you said UK, and it’s all the same to me did you mean country, island, region. You should also be more precise remember, you are dealing with a foreigner.
