Polish people don't like clubs in Holland :D

Hey.
I'm living in Schiedam near Rotterdam. I go to any clubs to Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Scheveningen, it doesn't matter where. People are very mixed there, no problem to find new friends.
Big BUT...I didn't catch any Polish clubbers... is any financial reason only, or different thinks?
Off course, I can find some people, who buying lot of beers in shops, but it's not to me :D .
Anybody interesting to go to any clubs?
Saturday is good in Thalia Lounge in Rotterdam, I remember Escape, Power Zone, The Mansion, or Melkweg in Amsterdam. I prefer train, metro, but I can drink Red Bull and go by car hihi :D .

Iam not Polish but I tried a few clubs when I was in Amsterdam and Rotterdam. The door staff were a bit too serious, didn't seem to like two single guys ( tourists ) trying to get in. Inside the clubs it was OK.
Its the same for a lot of places I suppose.

Hey. I hadn't any problems to enter to any clubs. Sometimes, I can get something like "to members only", but it depends to situation. Sometimes, when you enter first time, next time is open, because they have very good memory. Sometimes, simple "Good Evening" enough. When you go first, second, third etc time, next isn't any problem.
One Saturday I was in Zebra in Amsterdam and they said "for members". Next Sat, I changed my clothes and it was open to me ;D .
After some time,you know what tricks are here.
I've good support from my Dutch friends too, or I check djguide.nl , it makes good direction where you can go ...
I prefer Escape, because service is good and still same people on dance floor, by bar and after some time, when you enter there, you don't need to say all stories, what you want to drink because they remember, that's very nice ...

I think it's because of financial reasons for the most part, as a few Polish friends of mine preferred to stay at their bungalow, but when I offered to pay a few drinks and to take a few of them to a few places we've had a good time overall.. Some girls I've worked with didn't have any problems finding the clubs in my town either, and many others seem to frequent our little center more often in the summer season..

Although I wouldn't know all the places-to-be in Poland, so I guess you could tell me more about that?

Although I'm not Polish either, I'd say that Kraków, Częstochowa (The Black Madonna Shrine) and the Tatry region near Zakopane are probably the most worth seeing.

Ik weet maar niet, of je al Pools kan. 'T is toch anders dan in Nederland, waar bijna ieder meestal goed Engels spreekt:) In Polen is 't heelemaal mogelijk, dat geen mens op straat zelfs in ziekenhuizen, bij de politie enz., zoals op het platte land, Engels spreekt.

In the larger towns though, language shouldn't be much of a problem for you. Some older people even speak respectable German (...though not willingly)!

It depends wholly on your interests as a tourist/vacationer or more serious visitor.

A reverse question for you now. Where in Holland, i.e. the Netherlands, do most Polish tourists/visitors tend to go?

When I was a tourist in Holland, for whatever it's worth, I enjoyed Alkamaar, Amsterdam and ?, forgot the name of another small town nearby :)

Ik houde van deze deftige oude burgerhuizen langs de grachten in Amsterdam. Geweldig!!

The architecture I found similar to parts of Poland, e.g. Danzig/Gdańsk.

Might be of use. Some time earlier this year , around end of April I think, I got invited to a polish party in Holland, about 30km or so across the border from Germany (Elmpt). Cant remember the name of the exact location.

The party was organised by a dutch couple who, so it seems, have substantial investments in Poland, and also employ quite a few poles in Holland.

The couple are very friendly, the party is held regularly on Saturdays in a local bar. The usual Anglo pop as well as polish pop music played.

Now, I can think of a 1000 ways to better spend a Saturday night. I personally left after an hour. Just not my sort of thing. However, if anyone is interested I can ask around and try to get the exact details. Serious enquiries only please as I cant be bothered otherwise.

'Brit pop'/'rock', you mean. Wonder if Joss Stone's at all popular any longer. At twenty-something, she's already a little 'old'. Time to retire there, lady!--:)-:)
