This is probably the quickest solution to get you started with speech. This is available on Amazon and e-Bay but probably cheaper on e-Bay. There's some basic grammar at the back of the book. For a more thorough understanding of Polish grammar then I'd recommend either a book or the various online websites that provide such resources.

How about this:

A Turkish - English book then you buy a English - Polish book. It's pure genius!

No way! French is much easier than Polish to learn :) Besides if you see it as difficult it will be difficult.

You might be able to order a course through ebay or Amazon. I would have thought that there would be a limited selection on such items in Turkey. You should have thought about it before going.

Dear Turkish Friend.

I'm holidaying here in Turkey for the Summer, staying in Istanbul and Altinoluk. While in Istanbul I went looking for books on learning Polish, but unfortunately in bookshops like Remzi Kitabevi (in Carrefour and Akmerkez) I couldn't find any. I ended up ordering them through Amazon. If this link works, then you can see the relevant Amazon page for yourself :-

amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_ss_w_h_/203-6551372-4973519?initialSearch=1&url= search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=Learning+Polish

I ended up ordering Teach Yourself Polish and Colloquial Polish . By the way, the CD for Colloquial Polish doesn't come with the book, but all the same, I feel that is a better book than Teach Yourself Polish.

The postage cost about 25 YTL extra ... and the books arrived in Istanbul less than a week later.

Bol Sanslar Arkadasim !

Selam :)
Quoting the official Polish embassy website "Türkiye'de Lehçe öğrenmek isteyenlere de Ankara Üniversitesi Dil, Tarih ve Coğrafya Fakültesi'nde Leh Dili ve Edebiyatı Ana Bilim Dalı'na baºvurmalarını öneririz." Even if you're not interested in doing a university course, it may be useful to check out what they have in their library.

I'm also from Ankara,Turkey and I will study in Poland for half a year since this September.. I get help from polish friends and I learned some basically.. Best way to learn about a language is living in the country and I'll do this... :) I really hope to meet warm and friendly polish friends who will help me being a good polish-speaker ;)
