Foreign drivers in the UK escape speeding fines

so shouldn't you be taking this up with the legislators and law enforcement in the u.k. instead of a forum dedicated to all things polish? i mean what's the aim for posting that info here? if anything it'd encourage people to not pay if they don't have to.

i'm against excessive speeding but again if it were foreigners causing accidents getting off the hook i'd say you have a great point. unless that is the case, you don't imho.

It's not so much the £50,000 sovs that bothers me but the number of foreign nuttahs driving about on British roads

i'd be more inclined to sympathize if there were an abundance of foreign drivers causing accidents and not getting caught. you think u.k. drivers don't get off in other countries for the same reasons you listed?

I don't doubt that they probably do, however, two wrongs don't make a right do they ? I know an Englishman who spent a few years working in Luxembourg and when he returned to the UK he kept the Luxembourg plates on his car for as long as possible for just that reason. Good luck to him and for the record I'd do exactly the same thing.

UK drivers in europe escape speeding fines Ive been flashed several times and heard nothing else about it. It works both ways except cameras in the UK are there to make money rather than save lives.

Yes that does happen, but I was talking about people who have been fined but can escape paying because they can't be traced.

I've tried raising this with my MP, but I may as well talk to the wall. My reason for posting it here is because the Polish were mentioned in the article, so I'm interested in what people on here think

"Hate" is a very strong and emotive word and one that I have never used on here. Nor would I use it as "hate" doesn't come into it. What's wrong with wanting something that's fair to all ?

Plus with my luck it would get keyed by a pack of drunken chavs. Either that or the laws would change overnight and I would be back to where I started, just with a left-hand drive car ;-) bramkaz: We got the same with german number plates.
